Trump Rejected, Gulf Nations Turn To Iran For 'ISLAMIC NATO'? Israel Faces A Major New Shock

A major claim from Tehran is raising questions about a possible new security alignment in the Middle East. Iran says it has been invited to join the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement, a pact signed by Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan that treats an armed attack on one member as an attack on all. Iranian official Mehdi Rahimi reportedly told Al-Mayadeen that Tehran received an invitation, but none of the three signatories has publicly confirmed the claim. The reported opening comes at a sensitive moment, with regional powers reassessing alliances and security ties. If confirmed, Iran’s inclusion could dramatically reshape the emerging regional defense framework.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s proposed US visit was denied clearance by the Ministry of External Affairs, while his UK trip was approved. According to sources, the Centre found the proposed US itinerary inappropriate because it included meetings with US Vice-President JD Vance, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani and one of US President Donald Trump’s sons. The official itinerary had not publicly mentioned these meetings, but sources said they were included in the programme shared with the MEA. The Centre reportedly viewed the meetings as political activity, while the stated purpose of the visit was to promote Telangana’s Rising Telangana initiative. Telangana BJP demanded an explanation from Reddy. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka criticised the decision, saying the visit focused on education and investment. Revanth is currently in the UK.
