The Cessna 441 departed Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and was heading toward Cape Newenham when it crashed west of the Cape Newenham radar site at around 12:15 p.m. local time, according to the FAA. Two pilots and six passengers were aboard the aircraft, officials said, although their conditions were not immediately known.
