'Our Best Weapon Is...': Lula Promises Stronger Defence In A Chilling Warning To Trump

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has issued a firm message on Brazil’s defence ambitions, saying the country does not want war but will strengthen its defence industry and protect its national interests. Speaking about Brazil’s military preparedness, Lula said: “We do not want war, but we want to say: do not mess with us, because our best weapon is the pride of the Brazilian people.” Lula’s remarks come just a day after his phone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump, during which the two leaders discussed the ongoing trade dispute between Brazil and the United States.
