Watch as Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh testifies before the House Financial Services Committee in his first appearance on Capitol Hill since taking over as Fed chief.Warsh is expected to defend the Federal Reserve's inflation strategy after the latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) report showed the biggest monthly drop in inflation since 2020. Despite the encouraging data, Warsh has reaffirmed the Fed's tough stance, saying policymakers have "no tolerance" for persistently high inflation and remain committed to restoring price stability.Lawmakers questioned the Fed chief on inflation, interest rates, the U.S. economy, employment, artificial intelligence-driven investment, and the outlook for monetary policy.
