Modi Pushes AI, Youth And Data Agenda, Tells Secretaries To Break Government Silos And Innovate

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked top government officials to think beyond immediate targets and engage more closely with India’s youth. At his third high-level meeting with government Secretaries, Modi stressed long-term policymaking, breaking horizontal and vertical departmental silos, and greater collaboration between ministries, universities and young people. The Prime Minister also called for effective use of Artificial Intelligence while retaining human judgement. Data, described as a national asset, was another major focus, with Modi flagging fragmented systems that prevent the government from fully utilising its potential.
