Erling Haaland has started the new
Premier League season with a completely new look. The Manchester City striker has cut his famous long hair and opted for a buzz cut. His new hairstyle quickly went viral on social media on Sunday ahead of City's opening match against Bournemouth.
Haaland's famous hair is gone
Haaland's long, flowing hair has been one of his most recognisable features since he rose to prominence in
football. But the Norway striker decided to go for a much shorter hairstyle before the new season.
Haaland arrived at the Etihad Stadium wearing a cap before City's match against Bournemouth. He took it off during the warm-up, revealing his new buzz cut.
Ibrahimovic asks if Haaland lost a bet
The new hairstyle also caught the attention of former Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. In a video on Haaland's YouTube channel, Ibrahimovic asked the Manchester City star if he had “lost a bet” after seeing his new look.
“You gonna be faster now, or what?” Ibrahimovic said.

Reacting to the new hairstyle, Guardiola said: “You're lucky to have hair. I would love to have it!”
