Delhi’s Jantar Mantar witnessed a major reservation protest, with demonstrators demanding that government assistance and quota benefits be based on economic status rather than caste. Protesters also demanded repeal of the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act, introduction of a creamy-layer criterion and changes to SC, ST and OBC policies. The Reservation Reform Andolan was led by NEET aspirant Harsh Dubey, with General Sena, Chanakya Sena, Karni Sena and influencer Ajeet Bharti joining the agitation. Delhi Police detained several protesters, saying no permission had been granted for the Jantar Mantar demonstration. Watch
