Four injured at Yash’s ‘Toxic’ event in Hyderabad as sound structure collapses; police register case against management and event manager - Report

Rocking Star Yash is gearing up for the much awaited film ‘Toxic’; however, ahead of its grand release, the film is in the news for an unfortunate reason. As per the latest reports, a case has been registered against the management after four people, including a student, were injured when a sound box system collapsed during the film’s pre-release event in Hyderabad.

Four people injured at ‘Toxic’ event

The incident happened at Malla Reddy University in Medchal on Saturday night. Yash was addressing a large gathering of fans when the accident took place. As per PTI, a group of young attendees had climbed onto the sound box system's stand. The structure suddenly collapsed, causing four people to fall.



All four injured people were taken to a hospital for treatment.

A senior police official said, “One student suffered a leg fracture while three others had minor injuries.”

Following the incident, police registered a case against the management of the institution and the event manager. The case has been registered in connection with the accident that happened during the event.

During the event, Yash also noticed the structure collapse while he was speaking on stage. The actor stopped his speech for a moment and checked if the people in the crowd were safe. He asked, “Is it okay there? Please check...be careful. Are you safe?”

The ‘KGF’ actor later noticed another group of people apparently climbing onto another elevated structure. He asked them to get down before continuing his speech. The incident occurred because a large number of fans had gathered to see the star ahead of the release of ‘Toxic’.

About ‘Toxic’

Speaking about ‘Toxic’, the film is directed by Geetu Mohandas, with the story written by Yash and Mohandas. The film is billed as an action-thriller saga set in Goa between the early 1940s and the 1970s.

Cast of the film

Yash will be seen in a dual role as Raya and his son Ticket. The movie also stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth in important roles. It is set to release worldwide on August 26.
