Shotwell said the company will build the infrastructure needed to make Starlink "a true mobile service" and expects to win "quite a few" customers from the Big Three wireless carriers.

The research report noted that opportunities may increasingly emerge from the broader space ecosystem and its supply chain, rather than only from companies directly involved in launching rockets. The U.S. Federal Communications Commission has approved a framework to move satellite services out of part of the C-band radio spectrum, allowing 160 megahertz of capacity to be used by telecoms companies for next-generation wireless networks.
Foreign operators will not be eligible for rebates. The FAA requirements only apply to airplanes flying in U.S. airspace.
