A LITTLE HELP
Let’s make it easy.
Questions about portions, backups or Spoonlet Plus? Start here.
How do I log a meal?
Search for an ingredient, check its preparation, and tap a familiar portion. Add the other ingredients, then log your meal. Amount opens other measures and source information.
My food is not listed, or the package is different.
Tap Label beside search. Enter the values on your own pack per serving or per 100 g. A pot, scoop, bar or custom serving can be saved without knowing its weight. Leave a nutrient blank when it is not shown.
How do I repeat a meal?
My meals → Recent remembers meals you logged. Tap a heart to keep a favorite. Choose half, one or one-and-a-half servings before logging again. Adjust & log lets you change the ingredients.
How do I move my diary to a new phone?
Export a backup in Settings and save the file somewhere you control. Install Spoonlet on the new phone and choose Restore a backup. Export before uninstalling: Spoonlet does not provide automatic diary cloud sync or backup.
How do I restore Plus?
Sign into the store account used for the purchase, then open Spoonlet Plus and choose Restore purchases. A store purchase restores Plus access, not the food diary. Purchases remain associated with their Apple or Google store account.
How do I cancel or request a refund?
Manage a renewing subscription through Apple subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions. Uninstalling does not cancel it. Refund requests are handled by the store.
How do I erase my diary?
Settings → Erase local diary removes diary data and local recovery copies. Your store purchases remain. Delete any previously exported backups or shared PDFs separately.
Where the numbers come from
Protein, fibre and approximate calories come from official food composition tables, each used under its own open terms: USDA FoodData Central (SR Legacy 2018 and FNDDS 2021 to 2023, public domain); the Swiss Food Composition Database, Version 7.1, Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office FSVO (naehrwertdaten.ch); the ANSES-CIQUAL table 2020 (France, Etalab open licence); McCance and Widdowson’s CoFID 2021 (UK, Open Government Licence v3.0); and Fineli by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare THL (Finland, CC BY 4.0). Branded supplements and a few products carry their own label values and say so on the card. Typical servings on Swiss foods are marked as typical, not measured.
