About Tab
Tab is a text-based AI assistant for people who want to delegate everyday tasks. Users send requests and files through Messages or WhatsApp, and Tab can use a browser and connected accounts to carry out multi-step jobs. It can research and book travel, call businesses, create or transform documents and media, and help with purchases after the user approves the payment. The assistant reports progress and returns results in the same conversation, remembers context across tasks, and handles reminders and follow-ups. It accepts text, photos, screenshots, PDFs, and videos; group chats can have their own Tab with private details kept outside the group. Account access uses a verified mobile number. Tab is presented as a private beta with a sign-up waitlist.

"Serious performance issues, and support stopped responding" Posted 2026-10-21
Pros: Tab's support team did respond to my first contact and acknowledged that the service was under heavy load.
Cons: Serious performance issues prevented reliable use. When I followed up asking when the service would be restored, I received no response.
Overall: I'm sharing my experience with Tab AI because I believe potential customers should know about the service problems I've encountered.

Tab AI has been experiencing serious performance issues that have prevented me from using the service reliably.
I contacted customer support and received a response stating that Tab was under heavy load and that their team was working on resolving the problem.
However, when I followed up asking when the service would be restored, I did not receive a response.
What concerns me is the lack of clear communication about when customers can expect the service to work properly again.
People researching Tab AI online should have access to customer experiences, including service interruptions and support difficulties.
I'm posting this to make other customers aware of my experience and to ask whether anyone else has encountered similar problems.
I would also welcome a public update from Tab AI explaining what's happening and when the issues are expected to be resolved. -

"Tab is amazing 10/10 - Todays date - 10/10" Edited 2026-10-11
Pros: Tab was able to easily make a workflow for me and get a task done like making a video. If I were to ask it to make me a funny video and send it to me like "make a funny YouTube short video" it simply does it, extremely impressive - I don't know how but it works! That's why it's amazing!
Cons: Nothing much other than a nitpick like wishing tab could maybe have more capabilities such as making its own accounts since I believe it's entirely capable of networking.
Overall: Overall it's great, genuinely good and enjoyable. I tested it when it called me, sounds very human and natural and seems very capable for calling others. Passed my tests.

"Great message based personal AI agent" Posted 2026-10-08
Pros: What I like most is how little friction there is. I can just text Tab the same way I would text an assistant and ask it to actually get something done instead of giving me a list of instructions. The computer-use side is where it gets really useful. Tab can open websites, work with connected accounts, create files, make phone calls, and keep working after I leave the conversation. That makes it useful for things like reservations, travel changes, purchases, research, and random admin tasks that normally eat up time. I also like the payment approval flow. Tab can prepare a purchase or booking, but I still see the exact amount and recipient before anything gets paid.
Cons: The main downside is that I would still be careful about how much access I give it. Tab has clearly thought about security — credentials and payment details are kept outside the normal AI context, and uncertain actions are supposed to stop rather than repeat automatically — but an agent this capable still deserves supervision.
Overall: Overall, Tab feels much closer to a real personal assistant than a traditional chatbot. The combination of texting, computer use, phone calls, memory, payments, and background task execution makes it one of the more practical agent products I have tried.
