OfficeDex

OfficeDex is an AI-native desktop workspace for generating Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, reports, and images from natural-language prompts. It uses multiple cooperating agents to plan structure, write content, and handle formatting while preserving editable Office output. The application works with native OOXML files rather than relying on HTML conversion for its core document formats. Users can preview DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, and PDF files directly inside the app without opening Microsoft Office. It supports image references, custom LLM providers, local models, live task streaming, and mid-run user input. OfficeDex runs as a React and Wails desktop application and delegates generation to the separate OfficeCLI runtime. Current installers target macOS and Windows, with source-based Linux use also supported.
