OpenBot is an open-source, local-first desktop application for managing persistent AI agents that collaborate on projects and automated tasks. It supports Codex, Claude Code, Grok, Gemini, OpenCode, Cursor, and Cline through compatible agent interfaces. Each agent receives a dedicated workspace, conversation history, and configurable model settings. Persistent task queues support pausing, resuming, canceling, and recovering interrupted work. Agents can exchange messages, transfer files, delegate tasks, and collaborate through shared channels. An embedded browser and optional computer-use driver enable interaction with websites and desktop applications. The software also monitors agent context and automatically compacts long conversations. OpenBot runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux and remains a development preview with broad agent execution permissions.
