Quick question: I'm running an Android 14 x86 ROM, but HEVC hardware decoding isn't working. Is this because the codec license wasn't paid, or is the ROM simply not compatible?

I would like to congratulate you on the excellent Android TV14: ATV14-x86_64-MRDTeam-V26T-260520. I have two laptops and I want to install Android TV-14 on both devices. On the first laptop, an HP, the installation was smooth and perfect. ATV-14 works optimally without any problems. However, on the ASUS laptop with the following specifications: ASUS Zenbook 14 Firmware: UX3405CA314 Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 9 285H CPU Graphics Card: Intel(R) Arc(TM) GPU (16Gb) RAM Memory: 32 GB It is not even possible to start ATV. The process freezes completely when the message "Starting Android TV..." is displayed. It is necessary to turn off the laptop. Can you help me? Would any additional configuration, adjustment, or driver be necessary? Thank you in advance.Reply from AndroidTV-x86_64

Hi everyone! I'm a Linux user and I like to test out new things I find online. I recently found your project on a YouTube channel about operating systems and I got interested. I have Prime OS on my computer. Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-6500 CPU @ 3.20GHz Memory: 16 GiB of RAM (15.3 GiB usable) Graphics Processor: Intel® HD Graphics 530 Manufacturer: Intel But I always do this via a Linux partition in the system root (/primeos/data). This method provides more stability and compatibility for the Android system. That's what I've been experimenting with. I tried to do the same with your system and received the following message: Please download our official ISO If this is the official ISO, please make sure: Note: If your BIOS supports UEFI, please enable it and convert the hard drive to GPT. If your BIOS is LEGACY, please make sure the hard drive is converted to MBR. How do we resolve this?Reply from AndroidTV-x86_64

I'm having trouble playing content on Amazon Prime. Which root can I use to get Magisk so I can use a module to make it think the device is official?Reply from AndroidTV-x86_64

Really like this project! My Chromecast was getting way too slow. I used an old computer (2008) with an SSD and it flies with Google TV! I have one question: I've connected the Google remote via bluetooth. It works perfectly until reboot. The connection is lost and impossible to reconnect somehow. Any idea?Reply from AndroidTV-x86_64

Good build. Volume is low, but not being able to add adoptable storage is what severely limits it. Most of my media is on my second internal drive. Won’t be able to use, but for casual users might be good.Reply from AndroidTV-x86_64

I love that everything works right after install. I'm unsure if this is the case but it seems like you have to pay for this? I'm willing to but I'm a bit uncomfortable doing that for LineageOS TV 21 with a much better setup process.Reply from AndroidTV-x86_64

Hello MRDTeam, I have been testing your builds on a Canvas Mini PC with an Intel Atom x5-Z8350 processor. I really liked the Google TV 13 build, but I noticed that **HDMI audio does not work** on this device. On the other hand, **Android TV 9 (MRDTeam) works perfectly**, including HDMI audio, Wi-Fi, and the overall TV experience. Could you please confirm if there is a fix for HDMI audio in Google TV 13 on this hardware, or if it is a known limitation? Thank you for your help and for the great builds you provide. I am currently testing the Android TV 9 x86 build (MRDTeam) and noticed it has a 30-day trial period. I would like to know: 1. What is the cost of a permanent license key? 2. Is the license a one-time payment or a subscription? 3. How can I obtain the license after the trial ends? Thank you for your help. Best regards, Konstantinos PattasReply from AndroidTV-x86_64

I was trying to use ATV 11 and 13, not sure why it keeps displaying no internet access, but my wifi signal was scanned and connected. Same problem when I use Ethernet. My PC is with Intel Alderlake N95, Realtek RTL8852BE.Reply from AndroidTV-x86_64

Great, Amazon Prime doesn't work in Android TV13 and 14. It works in Android TV 9. Update: ATV9-V44T is now perfect, with all buttons working on my Fujitsu Tablet Q738. All video streamers work, and time zones work with automatic time adjustment ::::From ATV11::I used SendFilesToTV to send and install the Amazon Prime app from my phone to my ATV14. Streaming works now. The app is in all apps.::::::On my ATV 14, I installed the oldest version of Prime Video via Aptoide. Streaming works there. (You can find it in all APPS.)Reply from AndroidTV-x86_64

Everything is perfect, the only problem is that when I restart the computer, the system resets and all settings and data are lost when I shut down the PC. Please, if you could tell me how to fix this, I would be eternally grateful. 👍Reply from AndroidTV-x86_64

I see that this is based on Android TV 13 and Google TV 13. Do you have Android TV 14 and Google TV 14 available for download?Reply from AndroidTV-x86_64

I'm a bit surprised that this setup requires payment to avoid crashes after installing it. Stability feels like a basic expectation, so I was hoping it would work smoothly out of the box. Personally, I prefer the stock Google TV experience, as it already meets my needs. I can see this project being useful for others, but for me, I'll stick with an Android TV 9 ISO from XDA. I'm not saying this project is bad. I just feel like an OS that is free to use should be free to use x86.Reply from AndroidTV-x86_64
