Many (most?) MUD servers hard-code a specific game system, or a specific game setting within their code, but HexMUD strives to be as generic as possible in this area, allowing each separate administrator to easily build a custom code base while also gaining access to all of the core features HexMUD provides.

The software resents an executable specification language based on deterministic finite automata, this allows the user to perform tests of word recognition in the state machines that are defined by it. Moreover, it’s possible for the user to assign snippets of code to be executed every transition automaton, these snippets can be described in Lua or PHP programming language. To test that were conducted in the language, was developed a compiler that recognizes words and generates object code.

I needed a way to crawl a site, crawling using commands. I would put commands in a file or DB to use selenium to interpret the HTML and Javascript. The best would be to have a complete language with conditionals and looping. I'm a java developper and I needed that the crawler to run in a Spring-Boot application. So I decided to use a Lua interpreter in Java to build a crawling tool based on Selenium. The trick here is to add the crawling commands into the Lua interpreter.
