Open Source Java Simulation Games for Desktop Operating Systems

The Rossum Project is an attempt to collect and distribute robotics software. We are seeking help with our first project, a mobile-robot simulator featuring a 2-D virtual world, and new work including artificial intelligence and robot-control logic.

RealTimeBattle is a programming game, in which robots controlled by programs are fighting each other. The goal is to destroy the enemies, using the radar to examine the environment and the cannon to shoot.

Crazy Epic Awesome Randomness is a simulation game in progress. currently you can: create infinite men, select the man you want to move(with the arrow keys), select elements by pressing buttons. there are some bugs to be squashed.

Imperium Mundus is a real time strategy game written in pure Java (Java 2 SDK 1.4.2). The game objectives are many: hold your own territories, capture enemy territory, establish or join strong alliances, conquer the whole world or just try to survive.

Alfaws is a customizable, multi-user game engine. Every object, character, & room is programmed to respond to events. Players can customize their own event handlers, thus changing their fighting style or having their character behave as they would.
