    ArchNURBS

    ArchNURBS

NURBS-based elastic and limit analysis of masonry arches in MATLAB

ArchNURBS is a MATLAB tool for the analysis of planar curved structures, with a particular attention to masonry arches. As in CAD softwares, the geometry of the model is defined by a NURBS representation of the structure. Indeed, the user can upload geometries imported from a CAD environment. Based on such a representation, ArchNURBS performs the elastic isogeometric finite element analysis and the collapse limit analysis of the structure. It is possible to include in the analysis the presence of Fiber-Reinforced Polymers (FRP) extrados and intrados strips. A comprehensive descritpion of ArchNURBS is given in "ArchNURBS: NURBS-Based Tool for the Structural Safety Assessment of Masonry Arches in MATLAB", A. Chiozzi, M. Malagu', A. Tralli and A.Cazzani, J. Comput. Civil Eng., 2015. (http://ascelibrary.org/doi/abs/10.1061/%28ASCE%29CP.1943-5487.0000481) ArchNURBS has been developed thanks to a collaboration between the University of Ferrara (Italy) and the University of Cagliar

    Bouc-Wen-Baber-Noori model of hysteresis

Compute parameters of the Bouc-Wen-Baber-Noori model of hysteresis

This toolbox computes the parameters of the Bouc–Wen–Baber–Noori hysteresis model using Multiobjective optimization evolutionary algorithms (MOBEAs). The toolbox uses the NSGA − II algorithm, which is an elitist non–dominated sorting EA. The toolbox uses the original NSGA-II algorithm developed by Prof. Kalyanmoy Deb, which can be download from: http://www.iitk.ac.in/kangal/codes.shtml Prof. Deb allowed me to use and post this toolbox. For further information about the toolbox read the documentation and the following papers: - Kalyanmoy Deb, Sameer Agrawal, Amrit Pratap, T Meyarivan. "A Fast and Elitist multi-objective Genetic Algorithm: NSGA-II". Journal IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation (IEEE-TEC). 2002. Vol. 6. No. 2. pp. 182-197. - Gilberto A. Ortiz, Diego A. Alvarez, Daniel Bedoya-Ruiz. "Identification of Bouc-Wen type models using multi-objective optimization algorithms". Computers & Structures. Vol. 114-115. pp. 121-132. 2013.

    ADiGator

    ADiGator

    A MATLAB Automatic Differentiation Tool

ADiGator is a source transformation via operator overloading tool for the automatic differentiation of mathematical functions written in MATLAB. Given a user written file, together with information on the inputs of said file, ADiGator uses forward mode automatic differentiation to generate a new file which contains the calculations required to compute the numeric derivatives of the original user function. Furthermore, these calculations are written entirely in the native MATLAB language, and thus the process may be repeated to obtain nth order derivative files. The package is particularly appealing for applications where the same derivative must be found at multiple different points, i.e. non-linear root finding/optimization, stiff ode integration, etc.

    HASEM

    HASEM

Matrix c++ library solving any linear algebra problems

HASEM is a c++ template library, it can be easily configure as a expression template. HASEM solves any linear equation of any kind, it might be homogenous/none homogenous, compute the inverse of square/none square matrices, find LU decomposition, find determinant and rank of matrices, calculate the characteristic polynomial of matrices, find the eigenvalues and eigen vectors and so on. HASEM uses many methods, therefore, you are not limited to just one method, you have the choice to define your desire method as default one. With over 200 member functions and over 40 none member functions HASEM is almost able to solve any linear algebra problems. HASEM support multidimensional as well, you can mix up your multidimensional matrix with other matrices with different size, and apply all operations on them as well. It's possible to save the computed matrix into files, and when required read it from files and load the data into matrices. It is also very easy to add your extension to HASEM.

A Matlab software routine to perform Principal Component Analysis using Covariance, Correlation or Comedian as the criterion. Though, initially developed for experiments related to fretting wear but can be effectively used to interpret experimental data from any field. The attached files contain source code as well as a sample MATLAB (.mat) data file of 13 variables. It could be replaced to the data file of your choice. The code is open source but you are requested to give credits if used. Additionally, it also has some useful functions for exporting and generating publication quality figures for different kind of figures in MATLAB
