    geckodriver

    geckodriver

    WebDriver for Firefox

geckodriver is an implementation of WebDriver, and WebDriver can be used for widely different purposes. How you invoke geckodriver largely depends on your use case. If you are using geckodriver through Selenium, you must ensure that you have version 3.11 or greater. Because geckodriver implements the W3C WebDriver standard and not the same Selenium wire protocol older drivers are using, you may experience incompatibilities and migration problems when making the switch from FirefoxDriver to geckodriver. Generally speaking, Selenium 3 enabled geckodriver as the default WebDriver implementation for Firefox. With the release of Firefox 47, FirefoxDriver had to be discontinued for its lack of support for the new multi-processing architecture in Gecko. Since geckodriver is a separate HTTP server that is a complete remote end implementation of WebDriver, it is possible to avoid using the Selenium remote server if you have no requirements to distribute processes across a matrix of systems.

    DOMPurify

    DOMPurify

XSS sanitizer for HTML, MathML and SVG

A DOM-only, super-fast, uber-tolerant XSS sanitizer for HTML, SVG and MathML. It's also very simple to use and get started with. DOMPurify was started in February 2014 and, meanwhile, has reached version 2.3.0. DOMPurify is written in JavaScript and works in all modern browsers (Safari (10+), Opera (15+), Internet Explorer (10+), Edge, Firefox and Chrome - as well as almost anything else using Blink or WebKit). It doesn't break on MSIE6 or other legacy browsers. It either uses a fall-back or simply does nothing. Our automated tests cover 17 different browsers right now, more to come. We also cover Node.js v14.15.1, v15.4.0, running DOMPurify on jsdom. Older Node.js versions are known to work as well. DOMPurify is written by security people who have vast background in web attacks and XSS.

    CssSelector Component

    CssSelector Component

Converts CSS selectors to XPath expressions

XPath expressions are incredibly flexible, so there is almost always an XPath expression that will find the element you need. Unfortunately, they can also become very complicated, and the learning curve is steep. Even common operations (such as finding an element with a particular class) can require long and unwieldy expressions. CSS selectors are less powerful than XPath, but far easier to write, read and understand. Since they are less powerful, almost all CSS selectors can be converted to an XPath equivalent. This XPath expression can then be used with other functions and classes that use XPath to find elements in a document. Not all CSS selectors can be converted to XPath equivalents. There are several CSS selectors that only make sense in the context of a web-browser. Pseudo-elements (:before, :after, :first-line, :first-letter) are not supported because they select portions of text rather than elements.

Anyone can use Infer to intercept critical bugs before they have shipped to users, and help prevent crashes or poor performance. Infer checks for null pointer exceptions, resource leaks, annotation reachability, missing lock guards, and concurrency race conditions in Android and Java code. Infer checks for null pointer dereferences, memory leaks, coding conventions and unavailable API’s. Start with the Getting Started guide and our other docs to download and try Infer yourself. Infer is still evolving, and we want to continue to develop it in the open. Nokogiri

    Nokogiri

Tool to work with XML and HTML from Ruby

Nokogiri (鋸) makes it easy and painless to work with XML and HTML from Ruby. It provides a sensible, easy-to-understand API for reading, writing, modifying, and querying documents. It is fast and standards-compliant by relying on native parsers like libxml2 (C) and xerces (Java). Be secure-by-default by treating all documents as untrusted by default. Be a thin-as-reasonable layer on top of the underlying parsers, and don't attempt to fix behavioral differences between the parsers. "Native gems" contain pre-compiled libraries for a specific machine architecture. On supported platforms, this removes the need for compiling the C extension and the packaged libraries, or for system dependencies to exist. This results in much faster installation and more reliable installation, which as you probably know are the biggest headaches for Nokogiri users.

    WTF, forms?

    WTF, forms?

Friendlier HTML form controls with a little CSS magic

WTF, Forms? is a CSS library for replacing awkward native form controls with cleaner, more consistent custom designs. It focuses on checkboxes, radio buttons, select menus, file inputs, and progress bars. Most controls rely entirely on HTML and CSS rather than JavaScript. Custom checkboxes and radios preserve native input behavior while replacing their visible indicators with styled elements and SVG icons. Select menus and file inputs use wrappers, pseudo-elements, and browser-specific adjustments to improve their presentation. Accessibility considerations include semantic labels and ARIA attributes for controls where appropriate. The project targets older and modern browsers, but it has been archived and is no longer maintained.

    Twemoji

    Twemoji

Simple library that provides standard Unicode emoji for all platforms

Twitter’s open source emoji has you covered for all your project's emoji needs. With support for the latest Unicode emoji specification, featuring 3,245 emojis, and all for free. As an open source project, attribution is critical from a legal, practical and motivational perspective in our opinion. The graphics are licensed under the CC-BY 4.0 which has a pretty good guide on best practices for attribution. Although there are two kinds of parsing supported by this utility, we recommend you use DOM parsing, explained below. Each type of parsing accepts a callback to generate an image source or an options object with parsing info. The second kind of parsing is string parsing. This is unrecommended because this method does not sanitize the string or otherwise prevent malicious code from being executed; such sanitization is out of scope.

    Turndown

    Turndown

An HTML to Markdown converter written in JavaScript

Convert HTML into Markdown with JavaScript. to-markdown has been renamed to Turndown. See the migration guide for details. For usage with RequireJS, UMD versions are located in lib/turndown.umd.js (for Node.js) and lib/turndown.browser.umd.js for browser usage. These files are generated when the npm package is published. To generate them manually, clone this repo and run npm run build. Turndown also accepts DOM nodes as input (either element nodes, document nodes, or document fragment nodes). Options can be passed in to the constructor on instantiation. The key parameter is a unique name for the rule for easy reference. By default, Turndown does not keep any elements. The filter parameter works like a rule filter. To keep elements that are normally handled by rules, add a rule with the desired behaviour.

The most accurate and up-to-date ECMAScript specification. It contains the content of the most recent yearly snapshot plus any finished proposals (those that have reached Stage 4 in the proposal process and thus are implemented in several implementations and will be in the next practical revision) since that snapshot was taken. This Ecma Standard defines the ECMAScript 2022 Language. It is the twelfth edition of the ECMAScript Language Specification. Since publication of the first edition in 1997, ECMAScript has grown to be one of the world's most widely used general-purpose programming languages. It is best known as the language embedded in web browsers but has also been widely adopted for server and embedded applications. ECMAScript is based on several originating technologies, the most well-known being JavaScript (Netscape) and JScript (Microsoft). The language was invented by Brendan Eich at Netscape and first appeared in that company's Navigator 2.0 browser.

    Myrtille

    Myrtille

A native HTML4 / HTML5 Remote Desktop Protocol and SSH client

Myrtille provides simple and fast access to remote desktops, applications, and SSH servers through a web browser, without any plugin, extension or configuration. Technically, Myrtille is an HTTP(S) to RDP and SSH gateway. User input (keyboard, mouse, touchscreen) is forwarded from a web browser to an HTTP(S) gateway, then up to an RDP (or SSH) client which maintains a session with an RDP (or SSH) server. The display resulting (or not) of such actions is streamed back to the browser, from the RDP (or SSH) client and through the gateway. The implementation is quite straightforward to maintain speed and stability. Some optimizations, such as input buffering and display quality tweaking help mitigate latency and bandwidth issues.

    Simple.css

    Simple.css

Simple.css is a classless CSS template to make a good website

A classless CSS framework that makes semantic HTML look good. By classless I mean that there are no CSS classes anywhere in the CSS or the HTML. So your website can look just like this using plain old vanilla HTML. When starting a new project, I wanted a CSS framework that would get me up and running quickly, and give me something I could hack on. I got sick of all these giant frameworks that include everything but the kitchen sink, 90% of which I’ll never use. For example, the minified CSS for the Bootstrap framework is 144KB in total. By comparison, Simple.css is around 4KB. Obviously Simple.css and Bootstrap don’t compare in terms of their functionality, but Simple.css allows website developers to spin something up very quickly that looks good and needs very little work. By using something like Simple.css, provides the basics to get up and running quickly (or just use it as-is for a simple, good-looking site) yet not have to learn an extremely convoluted framework.
