    DeepLearningProject

    DeepLearningProject

    An in-depth machine learning tutorial

This tutorial tries to do what most Most Machine Learning tutorials available online do not. It is not a 30 minute tutorial that teaches you how to "Train your own neural network" or "Learn deep learning in under 30 minutes". It's a full pipeline which you would need to do if you actually work with machine learning - introducing you to all the parts, and all the implementation decisions and details that need to be made. The dataset is not one of the standard sets like MNIST or CIFAR, you will make you very own dataset. Then you will go through a couple conventional machine learning algorithms, before finally getting to deep learning! In the fall of 2016, I was a Teaching Fellow (Harvard's version of TA) for the graduate class on "Advanced Topics in Data Science (CS209/109)" at Harvard University. I was in charge of designing the class project given to the students, and this tutorial has been built on top of the project I designed for the class.

    Observable Plot

    Observable Plot

A concise API for exploratory data visualization

Observable Plot is a free, open-source JavaScript library to help you quickly visualize tabular data. It has a concise and (hopefully) memorable API to foster fluency — and plenty of examples to learn from and copy-paste. In the spirit of show don’t tell, below is a scatterplot of the height and weight of Olympic athletes (sourced from Matt Riggott), constructed using a dot mark. We assign columns of data (such as weight) to visual properties (such as the dot’s x), and Plot infers the rest. You can configure much more, if needed, but Plot’s goal is to help you get a meaningful visualization quickly. Plot employs a layered grammar of graphics inspired by Vega-Lite, ggplot2, Wilkinson’s Grammar of Graphics, and Bertin’s Semiology of Graphics. Plot rejects a chart typology in favor of marks, scales, and transforms. Plot can be readily extended in JavaScript, whether to define a channel, a transform, or even a custom mark.

    Pandas Profiling

    Pandas Profiling

Create HTML profiling reports from pandas DataFrame objects

pandas-profiling generates profile reports from a pandas DataFrame. The pandas df.describe() function is handy yet a little basic for exploratory data analysis. pandas-profiling extends pandas DataFrame with df.profile_report(), which automatically generates a standardized univariate and multivariate report for data understanding. High correlation warnings, based on different correlation metrics (Spearman, Pearson, Kendall, Cramér’s V, Phik). Most common categories (uppercase, lowercase, separator), scripts (Latin, Cyrillic) and blocks (ASCII, Cyrilic). File sizes, creation dates, dimensions, indication of truncated images and existance of EXIF metadata. Mostly global details about the dataset (number of records, number of variables, overall missigness and duplicates, memory footprint). Comprehensive and automatic list of potential data quality issues (high correlation, skewness, uniformity, zeros, missing values, constant values, between others).

    heatmap.js

    heatmap.js

JavaScript Library for HTML5 canvas based heatmaps

heatmap.js is a lightweight, easy to use JavaScript library to help you visualize your three dimensional data! Use it to add new value to your project, build a business based on it, study and visualize user behaviour, or why not build something completely crazy/awesome? Whether you want to have an aggregated overview of your users behaviour, or look at thousands of events distributed on a map, heatmap.js has all your heatmap visualization needs covered! Because it is the most advanced heat map visualization library on the web. It has a light footprint (~3kB gzip) and with the new 2.0 release heatmap.js just got faster and better. With only a few lines of code you can create your own interactive web heatmap. heatmap.js' API is all documented, also prioritized, so you can start developing right away! Heatmap.js is not a user behaviour tracking script. It simply creates dynamic heatmaps based on the data you feed it.
