    Derby

    Derby

MVC framework making it easy to write collaborative applications

The Derby MVC framework makes it easy to write realtime, collaborative applications that run in both Node.js and browsers. Derby includes a powerful data synchronization engine called Racer that automatically syncs data among browsers, servers, and a database. Models subscribe to changes on specific objects, enabling granular control of data propagation without defining channels. Racer supports offline usage and conflict resolution out of the box, which greatly simplifies writing multi-user applications. Derby applications load immediately and can be indexed by search engines, because the same templates render on both server and client. In addition, templates define bindings, which instantly update the view when the model changes and vice versa. Derby makes it simple to write applications that load as fast as a search engine, are as interactive as a document editor, and work offline.

This web page is not guaranteed to have the latest versions. The latest stand-alone version can be downloaded at http://bit.ly/IBEX_MDAnderson The latest source-code version can be downloaded at http://bit.ly/IBEXSrc_MDAnderson IBEX (imaging biomarker explorer) is an open infrastructure software platform that flexibly supports common radiomics workflow tasks such as multimodality image data import and review, development of feature extraction algorithms, model validation, and consistent data sharing among multiple institutions. IBEX software package was developed using the MATLAB and C/C++ programming languages. The software architecture deploys the modern model-view-controller, unit testing, and function handle programming concepts to isolate each quantitative imaging analysis task, to validate if their relevant data and algorithms are fit for use, and to plug in new modules.

    Pop Framework

    Pop Framework

Use Java bean as model of web page, reference beans in hyperlinks

Pop Framework (or Pop), http://www.popframework.net, is a bean-based MVC framework for Java/J2EE web applications. Pop implements IoC, Dependency Injection, and AOP. Pop provides annotations for users to define and reference a bean. Pop can help users to customize a bean, a scope, a factory and a reference in object-oriented way. Pop treats a bean as the model of a web page (JSP or servlet), the webpage itself is a view of the bean. The model provides the data for the view, the view is responsible for rendering the data. The Pop itself acts as the general-purposed controller for all views and models. The beans defined in server-side can be referenced by hyperlinks in client-side directly. Views and Models are therefore loosely coupled in Pop. A model can have multiple views for different devices and different locales. Each view and each model can be maintained and optimized independently and in parallel.

As those involved in SOA technologies will know web services and integration is a fairly dry subject. Typically the integrated systems and services sit behind a facade of other systems or web and desktop based applications. How then do you interest business users of the power of your solution? How do you quickly build or mock up an application that will interact with your back end services? We had just such a problem and needed a way to keep senior technical staff and business users awake during a presentation. We searched for something suitable - we knew that editing XML in SOAP UI would not work well - in the end we created our own demonstration framework - this is the result.
