Open Source Python Flight Simulator Software for Windows

ATC-pie is an air traffic control simulation program. It features solo, multi-player and teacher-student sessions, rendering 3D views of airports through FlightGear. It is essentially designed for realism, and simulates real-life ATC tasks and equipment such as strip racks and sequence management, handovers to/from neighbouring controllers, flight plans, primary & secondary radars, RDF, CPDLC, ATIS recording...

Vega Strike is a 3d OpenGL Action Space Sim for Win/Lin/Mac allowing players to trade, bounty hunt, or explore in a vast universe. Active development is now on https://github.com/vegastrike and on http://www.vega-strike.org Vega Strike is mod ready and network playable.

Orb is a Python based YSFlight Server Extension. It works by having ysflight run on a seperate port, and orb running on 7915 (usually). Clients connect to Orb, and Orb then connects them to the server. packets are intercepted, read and edited if need be to manipulate the server to have more power. Fuse this double relay method with a database, and basic functions with the possibility to extend, and Orb becomes immensly powerful.

This software allows you perform six degree of freedom simulations of High Power Rocket (HPR) and model rocket flights. Parachute descent is also simulated. 3D flight trajectories are produced as well as detailed tabular flight data. Running in Monte Carlo mode allows generates multiple possible flight paths and splash down plots, indicating the probability of landing in an area. Peer-reviewed publication in the Journal of Open Research Software (JORS) http://doi.org/10.5334/jors.137 "Cambridge Rocketry Simulator – A Stochastic Six-Degrees-of-Freedom Rocket Flight Simulator"

Tool for making aviation calculations done quickly and easily. Works on multiple operating systems (including MS Windows) and suitable for flight simulators (icl. MS Flight Sim.), but not for real use.

An OpenGL CRJ Glass Cockpit Simulator with FSX interface for home cockpit builder

Flight Simulator Add-On Installer is a tool to build standard setup programs for Microsoft Flight Simulator add-ons. It provides a GUI for the author, and a typical setup wizard for the end user, who doesn't have to deal with manual installation.

This is the 3D game. There is space ship and your aim is to control the ship using hand movement(left to right, & right to left) and prevent the ship from hitting the asteroids and. Every level has different environment for create optical illusion.

A game written in python using pygame. The user launches a probe with starting velocity. The probe is then only controlled by gravity. Score based on time surviving (before collision) and proximity to objects.

Flight simulator with emphasis on dog fighting in modern jet fighters exploring several "instant action" what-if scenarios including a random scenario generator. Uses a simple keyboard interface to control pitch yaw and rotation and yields several surprising camera angles. Game engine based on pygame+PyGGEL library. Game library combines some modules inspired by open source pygame projects: PyGGEL Robosim, GalaxyMage, 3D math tests, etc. left, right arrows: roll left/right up, down arrows: pitch up/down [ ]: yaw left, right j,k: yaw left, right + level out left click: shoots gun b: bomb m: missile +: increase throttle -: decrease throttle F1-F4: toggle individual panels F12: turn off panels + cockpit overlay Space: toggle forward/aft views Enter: take screenshot

A star wars fighter game. Requires Python and PyGame extension. no project website beside ethanco.biz... Does not support python 3.x.

The Ogre adaptation of Vega Strike. This has been ages in the making and is still in an early alpha state.

Vegastrike is an old open source game , cool but unfinished . And while there is still a community , the project is in orbit in a kinda space cimetery . The game can run under Windows,Linux ,Mac . BUT : It is complicated to work with the original SVN repositery , while the admins aren't reactive . So i decided to create that hub , with a trunk based upon the 0.5.1rc1 of Vegastrike . Let's Vegastrike be evolved , with new goals : _Dynamic Market system , better AI , mission and campain editor , etc ... _MMO : Create somewhere a dedicated host to help debug the actual working network code . Artists ( Sound , Image , Video , Mesh modelling , Animation ) and Devs are welcome !
