Open Source Java Embedded Systems Software for BSD

The wolfSSL embedded SSL library (formerly CyaSSL) is a lightweight, portable, C-language-based SSL/TLS library targeted at IoT, embedded, and RTOS environments primarily because of its size, speed, and feature set. It works seamlessly in desktop, enterprise, and cloud environments as well. wolfSSL supports industry standards up to the current TLS 1.2 and DTLS 1.2, is up to 20 times smaller than OpenSSL, offers a simple API, an OpenSSL compatibility layer, OCSP and CRL support, is backed by the robust wolfCrypt cryptography library, and much more. wolfSSL relies on the FIPS 140-2 validated wolfCrypt library for all cryptographic functionality. Freedomotic is an open source, flexible, secure Internet of Things (IoT) development framework, useful to build and manage modern smart spaces. It is targeted to private individuals (home automation) as well as business users (smart retail environments, ambient aware marketing, monitoring and analytics, etc). Freedomotic can interact with well known standard building automation protocols as well as with "do it yourself" solutions. It treats the web, social networks and branded frontends as first class components of the system.

Open Source project for the development of the IEEE 11073-20601 reference implementation.

JBernstein is a tool implemented in Java that enables to check whether a polynomial constraint holds for all variables within their domain. It is mainly used in the verification or synthesis of cyber-physical systems where the system model is nonlinear. The tool also supports specifications in assume-guarantee style. The underlying algorithm is based on a translation to Bernstein polynomials, and several optimization techniques are implemented to ensure efficiency. Concerning performance, the tool enables to check all examples in the PVS Bernstein testsuite within a second, which can be an order of magnitude faster than some other tools such as QEPCAD or REDLOG. Although JBernstein uses double, it offers automatic error-estimation capabilities (experimental) so that the generated result is correct (the solver may return unknown when the error-estimate is too large)

Controlling Model Railroad via Networks "Lanbahn" Concepts - intelligent end devices - all with a network, wlan or other sophisticated interface. - can be operated without a central station - no complex binary protocols - communications via multicast UDP messages - decoders can advertise their capabilities via zeroconf/avahi/bonjour protocol. - raspberry pi as one hardware platform - tinkerforge IO bricklets for turnout and signal control

MGSyn (Model, Game, Synthesis) is an open-source tool which integrates game-based synthesis into model-driven development for industrial control and automation. It is served for research and educational purposes. MGSyn has been originally developed by Department of Informatics (Unit 6), TU München and fortiss GmbH and is now maintained by fortiss GmbH. The software is released under the GNU General Public License Version 3.0 (GPLv3). Please download the tutorial for step-by-step instructions on installing and using the tool. It is advised to use 32-bit version (Eclipse) associated in the "MGSyn supplementary files", as the 64-bit version will by default demand huge memory, which may lead to Java exceptions.

Platform providing the support for Wireless Sensor Networks in the domain of Natural Hazards as a Service. The objective of the WSN platform is monitoring the behaviour of rockfall barriers, rockfall netting, rock sheds and other protection systems

OOBD supports a self-programable Tool for Vehicle Onboard Diagnostics (OBD) for various platforms like the Windows-Desktop, mobile Phones and Smartphones Please note that we are actual moving this project over to oobd.googlecode.com. The software source code repository is already moved, other areas will follow.

PerLa project aims at defining a full declarative high level language that allows to query a pervasive system, hiding the difficulties related to the need of handling different technologies.

SmartSlog (Smart Space Ontology) is a software/application development kit (SDK or ADK) for programming Smart-M3 agents (Knowledge Processors, KPs) that consume/produce smart space content according with its high-level ontological representation. SmartSlog applies the code generation approach: given an OWL ontology description, the ontology programming library is produced. The latter provides API to access the smart space via a Smart-M3 Semantic Information Broker (SIB) and data structures and functions to represent and maintain locally in KP code all ontology classes, relations, properties, and individuals. Since 2012 the project is supported by grant KA179 of Karelia ENPI programme, http://kareliaenpi.eu/ More information about project: http://oss.fruct.org/wiki/SmartSlog Smart-M3 on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smart-M3

autoCode4 is an engine that synthesizes controllers from formal specifications described under a subset of linear temporal logic (LTL). Importantly, it synthesizes synchronous dataflow controllers (in Lustre or in Ptolemy II form) and maintains requirement-to-code traceability. Such feature is mandated in developing safety-critical systems and are considered essential for specification validation or integrating manual implementation such as legacy code. The LTL specification captures the desired behavior of a controller where the environment takes the first move (i.e., sense/input then react/output), so the synthesized controller can be viewed as a Mealy machine. A step-by-step tutorial is available within the software package.

This project is aimed at producing open source hardware for real time use in industrial automation. This project will have a few sub-projects that will focus on individual hardware for various industrial purpose. Some of the sub-projects will be of type Field-IO Modules development, Analog-IO Module development etc.
