    Eventer

    Eventer

Rapid, unbiased, reproducible analysis of synaptic events

Eventer is a programme designed for the detection of spontaneous synaptic events measured by electrophysiology or imaging. The software combines deconvolution for detection, and variable length template matching approaches for screening out false positive events. Eventer also includes a machine learning-based approach allowing users to train a model to implement their ‘expert’ selection criteria across data sets without bias. Sharing models allows users to implement consistent analysis procedures. The software is coded in MATLAB, but has been compiled as standalone applications for Windows, Mac and Linux. Please visit the official Eventer website for more info https://eventerneuro.netlify.app/ While the paper is in preparation, please cite as; Winchester, G., Liu, S., Steele, O.G., Aziz, W. and Penn, A.C. MS2Browser

LC-MS/MS data browser designed for siderophore analysis

MS2Browser is a tool for interactive pre-processing, analysis and visualization of LC-MS/MS data. Input is an mzXML file with centroided LC-MS/MS data. The program is written in MatLab and it was designed for the analysis of siderophores (iron transporting small molecules) in bacterial media. Some of the functionality and use of MS2Browser is described as part as an open-access book chapter: http://www.intechopen.com/books/applications-from-engineering-with-matlab-concepts/small-molecule-lc-ms-ms-fragmentation-data-analysis-and-application-to-siderophore-identification A siderophore structural database assembled for this project can be found alongside the MS2Browser software (.cfw format to be used with ChemBioFinder(TM) ). NOTE: The program is written for personal use to assist siderophore analysis using high-resolution LC-MS/MS data. Please contact me if you have any questions about its use, bugs, etc.

SPIW - Scanning Probe Image Wizard

SPIW - Scanning Probe Image Wizard

Scanning Probe Image Wizard - MATLAB Toolbox

SPIW is a MATLAB toolbox, for automated processing of scanning probe microscope images. Tools are applicable to all SPM images, but the main focus is on images with atomic or molecular resolution. SPIW is primarily a MATLAB toolbox with functions designed to be called in a user's own script. SPIW also has a very basic GUI for browsing and exporting images. For information on SPIW's performance see our publication ( http://dx.doi.org/10.1063/1.4827076 ) in the Review of Scientific Instruments. A related open-source project SPIEPy (https://pypi.python.org/pypi/SPIEPy/) is developing a python library to for automated SPM imaged enhancement. SPIEPy brings many SPIW algorithms to the Python user.
