In the UAE, over 3.27 million tonnes of food are wasted every year, much of it still good to eat. Cafés, restaurants, and shops often prepare more food than they can sell because demand is unpredictable, which means perfectly good meals end up in the bin instead of on a plate.

By donating surplus food through Snibbl, businesses can make sure that food doesn’t go to waste and instead becomes a warm meal for someone in the community. It’s a small change that saves good food and brings real help to people who need it.

Snibbl Donations is designed specifically for restaurants, cafés, bakeries, hotels, caterers, supermarkets and other food businesses with surplus inventory. Individual customers cannot donate food through the platform. We work directly with licensed businesses to safely redirect excess food to community partners.

Businesses can donate fresh, safe, unsold food that is still within its consumption window. This includes prepared meals, packaged items, baked goods and other ready-to-eat products that have not been served to customers. All donations must meet local food safety and hygiene standards.

When your business has surplus food, you simply mark it as “donation-ready” in the Snibbl platform. Nearby verified partners are notified and a collection is arranged. The process is designed to be quick and operationally smooth so it doesn’t interrupt your kitchen or store workflow.

There is no strict minimum requirement. Whether you have a small batch of surplus meals or a larger quantity, businesses of all sizes can participate. Even smaller donations can provide meaningful support to people in need.
