TokScript’s official pricing lists a $0 free plan with 5 transcripts per day and no credit card needed. This is a daily transcript allowance, not a promise of unlimited processing. Check the current plan for feature access and video-length limits; we have not tested a free account. ShortTranscript offers 3 successful free transcripts per UTC day, up to 5 minutes each, subject to trial availability. Editing, copying and TXT are free; subtitle and Word exports require credits.
TokScript extension or a web workflow?
TokScript has an official Chrome extension linked from its website and Chrome Web Store. It advertises transcript access, analytics and media downloads while browsing TikTok. We have not installed or benchmarked it. ShortTranscript runs in the browser: paste a supported public video link, review the recognized speech and export text. No extension is required or provided, and TikTok analytics, media downloading and MCP integration are not part of our tool. Choose in-feed convenience or a separate transcript editor according to your workflow.
A library workflow has different needs
If you organize a creator’s series, reuse a collection or move transcripts into a chat-based research workflow, decide on those requirements before comparing entry prices. A larger import limit alone does not tell you whether the output fits your next step. Check organization, export format and plan access together.
