back in my day, scratch 1.4 is all we had to work with, if some of my projects are broken or look like trash, that's because the scratch 2.0 update changed parts of scratch's core functionality.

I've well moved on to Godot, which is much easier to work with, and capable of so much more. but I still check my messages here and will occasionally meddle with Scratch just for kicks and giggles.
