Request the refund from the account that made the purchase within 14 calendar days of its successful payment timestamp.
1. Eligible purchases
The refund window applies to the first payment on a paid plan purchased directly through Pubtact — the lifetime payment, or the first month of a monthly plan. The request must relate to a payment with a completed status and reach Pubtact within 14 calendar days of the successful charge. Refunding a monthly payment also cancels the subscription, so it does not renew.
Cancelling monthly. You can cancel a monthly plan at any time from your account (Manage subscription) or from your UPI app. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current month, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Renewal payments after the first are not covered by the refund window.
2. How to request a refund
- Sign in to the Pubtact account that made the purchase.
- Email hello@pubtact.com from that account email with the subject [refund].
- Include the account email and, if available, the payment or order reference shown in your billing history. Never include a card number, UPI PIN, password, or one-time code.
We may ask for limited information to confirm ownership of the account or transaction before initiating the refund.
3. What happens after approval
The refund is submitted to the payment provider that processed the original charge — Dodo Payments for current purchases (purchases made before October 2026 in Indian rupees were processed by Razorpay) — for return to the original payment method. Bank and payment-network processing times vary, so the credit may appear after Pubtact has initiated it.
For international payments, Dodo Payments is the merchant of record: it is the seller of record for the transaction, it issues the invoice, and its name rather than Pubtact’s may appear on your card or bank statement.
When the refund is initiated, the account returns to the current free plan and paid entitlements are removed. Your account and content are not automatically deleted.
4. Requests outside the window
The automated refund window closes after 14 calendar days. If you believe a charge is duplicated, unauthorized, or legally refundable after that point, contact us with the transaction reference so we can review the specific circumstances and any mandatory rights that apply.
5. Failed, cancelled, or duplicate payments
A cancelled checkout is not a completed purchase. Failed transactions may still appear temporarily as pending at a bank. If a payment is captured more than once or the plan is not activated after a successful charge, email us so the payment ledger can be reconciled.
6. Relationship to other policies
This policy forms part of the Terms of Service. Nothing here limits a refund, cancellation, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be limited in your location.
