The SEO Competitor Analysis tool puts two websites side by side. It reads each homepage and sitemap and lays out the title tag, meta description, H1 and H2 count, word count, schema, sitemap size, AI crawler blocks, llms.txt, internal links and load time in one table. A headline tells you how many of 6 measures your site leads on.
Updated
Your site is in the first column and the competitor is in the second. The tool reads the homepage and the sitemap.xml of each site, so the table describes how each site is built.
The headline counts how many of 6 measures you lead on: schema blocks, words on the homepage, pages in the sitemap, H2 sections, load time and having a meta description. A tie counts as a lead, and for load time the lower number wins.
Each row is one thing the tool measured on both sites.
| Row | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Title tag and length | The homepage title and its character count |
| Meta description | Whether the homepage has one |
| H1 and H2 sections | The main heading and how many H2 sections the homepage has |
| Words on homepage | How much text the homepage carries |
| Schema blocks and types | How many JSON-LD blocks there are and the first few types |
| FAQ schema | Whether a FAQPage block is present |
| Pages in sitemap | The number of entries in sitemap.xml, or No sitemap if none is found at that address |
| AI crawlers blocked | Which AI crawlers the robots.txt blocks |
| llms.txt | Whether the site has one |
| Internal links on home | How many links on the homepage point to the same site |
| Load time | How long the homepage took to fetch, in milliseconds |
It does not cover backlinks, traffic or rankings. Each site is judged on its homepage and sitemap only, so the rest of a site's pages are not compared.
Rows where the competitor is ahead are your gaps, like a FAQ block you lack, a larger sitemap or a faster homepage. To find topics they cover that you do not, run the keyword gap checker.
Take each topic to the content brief generator to get an outline, questions to answer and schema to ship for the page.
Peak Answer runs checks like these every week, then writes the content and gets the placements.
