Pennsylvania Equality Project was founded in 2018 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose work focuses on advancing civil rights initiatives for the LGBTQIA+ community in Pennsylvania. We are expanding our mission to include working with other organizations and people across the country. We welcome you to our website and invite you to join our efforts. Among the work we do to advance our mission are the following:

• FreeShop to provide resources for those in need within the community. We accept clothing, blankets, non-perishable food, games, books, toys, and other items one day; then we give them away for free the next day.
• Petitions to the state legislature in Harrisburg. Presently, we have petitions seeking passage of a statewide nondiscrimination law, a ban on conversion therapy, comprehensive sex education, inclusion of sexual orientation and gender identity within Pennsylvania’s Ethnic Intimidation law, and a ban on book bans at school and public libraries.
• A Resources page that is free for companies to list their LGBTQIA+ affirming business, and free to anyone who would like to browse the content.
• Addiction Treatment that offers information on LGBTQIA+ affirming alcohol and drug rehabilitation and counseling centers for both inpatient and outpatients needs.
• Surveys, both current and previous, that the organization has conducted to gather data to share with policy makers.
• PEP Radio is coming to Meadville, PA at 95.7 FM. The station will be simulcast on our website and social media. We are currently looking for musicians and content creators who are interested in having their podcasts, talk shows, music, or other creative material shared with our audience. • Donation assistance for those in critical need in Pennsylvania. At this time, we are raising funds for the launch of WPEP 95.7 FM PEP Radio, Meadville.
