One PDF to rotate single pages, or several PDFs to rotate them all · up to 100 MB each
How to use
Open your PDF
Drop the file on the upload area. Every page appears as a thumbnail, drawn the way PDF viewers show it, so sideways and upside-down pages stand out at a glance.
Turn the pages
Use the two buttons under a thumbnail to turn one page. For many pages, choose All, Odd, Even, Portrait, Landscape or Selected pages and click Rotate -90, +90 or 180.
Apply and download
The header counts the pages that will change. Click Apply & download to save yourfile-rotated.pdf with the new angles stored in each page, or press Reset to clear pending turns.
Why Rotate PDF
- Rotate single pages from their thumbnails, with a live preview.
- Turn all, odd, even, portrait, landscape or selected pages at once.
- Rotate several PDFs in one go and download them as a ZIP.
- The new orientation is saved in the file, not just on screen.
Why rotating in a PDF viewer does not stick
Most PDF viewers, including the ones built into browsers, have a rotate button. It turns the view on your screen only. Close the file, print it or email it, and the page is sideways again, because the file itself was never changed.
A PDF page carries a rotation value, set to 0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees. Viewers read that value and turn the page before they display or print it. This tool changes that stored value for each page you turn and saves a new file, so every program that opens it shows the page the right way up.
Because only the rotation value changes, the page content is not redrawn. Text stays as text, scanned images keep their resolution, and the file size stays about the same. It also means rotating is fully reversible: turn the page back and save again, and you are where you started.
Choosing which pages to turn
The menu next to the bulk buttons decides which pages a click on Rotate -90, +90 or 180 affects. The line under the toolbar shows how many pages that is before you click.
| Choice | Pages turned | Typical fix |
|---|---|---|
| All pages | Every page | A whole scan that came out sideways |
| Odd pages or Even pages | Every other page | Upside-down back sides from a duplex scan |
| Portrait pages | Pages taller than wide, as shown now | Mixed files where only the tall pages are wrong |
| Landscape pages | Pages wider than tall, as shown now | Wide tables or charts inside a portrait report |
| Selected pages | Pages you click in the grid | A handful of scattered pages |
| Several files dropped at once | Whole files, all or only portrait or landscape pages | A folder of scans from the same sideways feeder |
