What is a credit?
1 credit covers up to 10 pages. A 1-page receipt costs 1 credit. A 12-page document costs 2 credits.
Authoring vs rendering
Drafting a template is free: iterate with /api/v1/preview and save via /api/v1/templates at no charge. Credits are only deducted when you render a saved template with real data via /api/v1/render.
Do unused credits roll over?
Plan credits refresh every month and unused ones don't carry over. Growth credits never expire and can be topped up anytime.
Is there a discount for paying yearly?
Yes. Starter is $100 a year, the price of 10 months, and you still get 1,500 credits every month. Hobbyist is billed yearly at $10.
What's the watermark?
Free and Hobbyist renders include a small "makespdf.com" link at the bottom of each page. Starter renders are unbranded, and so are Free and Hobbyist renders while you have Growth credits in your balance.
Can I change plans?
Yes. Open Manage subscription in your billing settings to switch plans or move to yearly billing. A change to a higher price applies straight away and you pay the prorated difference; a change to a lower price takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for. You can cancel anytime.
Out of credits mid-month?
Buy Growth credits anytime. They never expire, stack on top of your monthly allowance, and auto top-up can refill them for you. No plan change required.
Can we pay by invoice or purchase order?
Yes. From your billing settings, request an invoice for prepaid credits from $100 to $25,000 and add your PO number. We email the invoice, due in 30 days, and add the credits when it is paid.
