Features

The profit you keep, not the revenue you post

Four short loops, recorded on the demo workspace above. No number was invented and nothing was sped up.

Revenue imports itself

Connect Stripe or Lemon Squeezy once, with a read-only key. Revenue, fees and refunds land in the ledger month by month, with your products named.

A cost is typed once

Pick Vercel Pro from the catalogue, say which project it belongs to, tick recurring. It is on every month until you end it.

The verdict, and the line to cut

Every project ranked by what it keeps, on one scale. Every cost ranked by name, not by bucket. Click the loser and you know why.

A badge on every site you ship

One line of HTML. Visitors tap it and see your other projects, straight from the dashboard. Free on every plan.

The problem

Stripe says you made €4 600. You made €3 973.

Every payment provider tells you what came in. None of them knows about Vercel, the API bill, the domain, the freelancer — or that your favourite product is quietly paying for none of it. You find out at tax time, ten months late.

What your dashboard shows

€4 600

Revenue this month. One number, one provider, one tab per product. It looks like a good month.

What actually happened

What’s left

And Signalbox, the one you shipped last? Losing €19 a month while you build features for it.

Stripe is already recording this month. Nothing is recording what it costs — and a month that went by unrecorded cannot be rebuilt.

How it works

Three steps, then it runs without you

The setup is one evening. After that, the only thing you ever type is a cost you actually paid.

  1. 12 minutes

    Connect Stripe

A read-only key that can see payments and nothing else. Revenue, fees and refunds arrive as ledger lines and re-read themselves every time you open the app. Lemon Squeezy works the same way.

  2. 2an evening, once

    Type each cost once

Vercel, the API bill, the freelancer. Pick it from the catalogue or type it, say which project it belongs to, and it recurs every month until you end it.

  3. 3every month, on its own

    Open it on the 1st

Every project ranked by what it netted, the cost that grew, and one sentence naming the product that paid for your time. Then decide where the weekend goes.

Joffrey

Joffrey

Solo maker, three products

@joffreyio

I built this because I was proud of the wrong product.

I run three: MakerBadge, Citeable and ProofBench. After three months I could tell you what each one made — Stripe is good at that — and I had no idea what any of them cost. Vercel here, an API there, a freelancer for the onboarding. Every half of the answer lived in a different tab.

So I put both halves on one page and ranked them. The first month it told me the product I was proudest of was the one paying me the least. That is the whole feature. I use it on the 1st of every month, and I am building it in public.

No customers to quote yet — the page will show them the day they exist, and not a day before.

Pricing

Priced by how many projects you run. Never by how well they do.

Baremetrics starts at $75 a month before you have earned a dollar. Your first project here is free — the whole arithmetic, not a preview — and it stays free.

Free

$0

One project, whole.

  • Money in, money out and the net — the full arithmetic
  • MRR, churn, ARPU and burn, on a twelve-month curve
  • Stripe or Lemon Squeezy import, re-read every time you open the app
  • MakerBadge on your site, with one project and a “Made with MakerProfit” link
  • Export everything, any time

No card. No trial clock. It does not expire.

Solo

$9/month

Three projects, ranked.

  • Everything in Free, on three projects
  • The ranking: which of the three is paying for itself
  • All three on one chart, twelve months each
  • Every subscription ranked by what it costs you, across the three
  • MakerBadge with all three, in your colours, without our link

Cancel any month. You keep what you paid for.

For 4+ projects

Portfolio

$29/month

Every project you run.

  • Everything in Solo, on every project you run
  • Shared costs — the domain, Figma, your laptop — kept out of every project's net
  • Contractors and what you still owe them, by due date
  • Bank statement import as CSV — the costs no API knows
  • MakerBadge with every project you run

Cancel any month. Nothing you typed is deleted.

Never a price per project inside a tier, never indexed on your revenue. The month you cross a million in ARR, this is still $29. Prices exclude VAT where your country charges it.

FAQ

Questions you were about to ask

Is the free tier really free, or a trial?

Free, and there is nothing to expire. One project gets the whole arithmetic — money in, money out, the net, the verdict, the twelve-month curve — with no card, for as long as you use it. Paying only ever buys more projects, never more numbers.

Does connecting Stripe give MakerProfit access to my money?

No. It uses a restricted key that can read payments and nothing else. It cannot move money, refund anyone or see card numbers, and you can revoke it from Stripe in one click.

I don't sell through Stripe.

Lemon Squeezy connects the same way. Anything else, you type the line yourself — the ledger was built for hand-typed entries first, and the import is a convenience on top. A project with no connection works exactly the same.

Do I have to enter my costs every month?

No. You type a cost once, say it recurs, and it counts every month until you give it an end date. A connected account re-reads itself every time you open the app. Most months you open the app and type nothing.

What about AWS, Twilio, OpenAI — the metered bills?

Type them when the invoice lands. MakerProfit refuses to estimate a metered cost: a guessed number is worse than an empty field, because you would trust it.

I sell in euros and dollars. What happens to the total?

You get one total per currency. There is no exchange rate in the app and it will not invent one.

What happens to my numbers if I cancel?

Nothing is deleted or held hostage. You drop to the free tier — your oldest project keeps the full arithmetic, the rest stay exportable — and the export hands over everything in one file, on every plan.

Your real profit, per project, every month.

Two minutes to connect Stripe. One evening for the costs. Then the answer, every month.
