Toolbars
Toolbars a product needs: list filters, view switching, a document bar, text formatting and a whiteboard dock. The bulk-action bar has its own page, Action Toolbar.
Filter ToolbarUpdated, Oct 16
Search and filters for an issue list. Filter opens a two-step menu, field then values, and each filter becomes a chip: click its verb to flip between is and is not, or its value to change it. The count rolls as results change, and / jumps to search.

View Toggle ToolbarUpdated, Oct 16
The same projects as a board, a list or a table. Switching views moves each project to its new place instead of cutting, and Sort and Display set the order, the fields shown and the row density.
Editor ToolbarUpdated, Oct 16
The top bar of a document. Rename it from the breadcrumb, watch it save as you type, see who else is in it, and reach Share and the rest of the actions. The outline slides in from the left.
Format ToolbarNew, Oct 16
The bar that floats over selected text. It shows the block style, the marks and the highlight color already on the selection, becomes a link field on ⌘K, and drops below the text when there is no room above. It uses the browser's editing commands, so it works on any contentEditable or can drive your editor's own.
Canvas ToolbarNew, Oct 16
The tool dock of a whiteboard. Each tool has a key, holding Space pans from any tool, the shape button keeps the last shape you picked, and a line above the dock says what the tool will do next. Sticky notes cycle through four colors, the people on the board show up with their cursors, undo, redo and zoom sit in the corner, and the board opens zoomed to fit.
