Oggi abbiamo avuto il piacere di ospitare in azienda un gruppo di studenti del dipartimento di Economia dell'Università di Catania. I ragazzi hanno avuto la possibilità di visitare i reparti produttivi e di rivolgere varie domande al management aziendale relative alla storia del Gruppo, alle prospettive future e ai fattori chiave del successo. Un sentito ringraziamento a tutti loro per la loro curiosità e passione!! Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of students from the Department of Economics at the University of Catania. They had the opportunity to tour our production facilities and engage with company management on a range of topics, including the Group's history, future outlook, and key drivers of success. Nella suggestiva cornice del Molo Trapezoidale di Palermo, va in scena, per la prima volta in Italia, il #RailwayInteriorInnovationSummit Europe 2025, l’evento internazionale organizzato da RedCabin e ospitato da OMER S.p.A.. L’apertura del summit è stata impreziosita dai saluti delle Istituzioni, con la partecipazione del Sindaco di Palermo, Roberto Lagalla e il messaggio di benvenuto del Presidente della Regione Siciliana, Senatore Renato Schifani, che hanno sottolineato il valore di questo appuntamento per il territorio e per l’intero comparto industriale. 🍃 Parco Raffo Rosso è stata la nostra meta! Nel cuore del territorio che ci circonda, abbiamo vissuto un’esperienza fuori dall’ordinario: una camminata al tramonto, tra i sentieri della forestale, per osservare da vicino l’ambiente naturale e riflettere sul nostro rapporto con esso. 🚶♀️🚶♂️ Un’iniziativa pensata per offrire ai dipendenti un’occasione concreta di conoscenza del territorio, al di fuori del contesto aziendale e oltre la routine quotidiana. 🌍 Un momento speciale, organizzato nell’ambito del programma Biodiversity Machine, che Omer - insieme a 17tons e in collaborazione con l’Università degli studi di Palermo - ha messo in campo per indagare l’impronta lasciata sulla biodiversità e promuovere una maggiore consapevolezza su una tematica tanto attuale quanto fondamentale: la salvaguardia dell’ambiente. ⏳ Durante la passeggiata, durata circa un’ora e mezza, abbiamo avuto l’opportunità di confrontarci, ascoltare, osservare… e soprattutto comprendere quanto il contesto naturale sia parte integrante del nostro agire quotidiano come impresa. #biodiversitymachineproject ------ 🍃 Parco Raffo Rosso was our destination! In the heart of the landscape that surrounds us, we experienced something out of the ordinary: a sunset walk through forest trails, offering a close-up view of the natural environment and a moment to reflect on our relationship with it. 🚶♀️🚶♂️ An initiative designed to give employees a real opportunity to explore the territory, stepping outside the workplace and beyond the daily routine. 🌍 A special moment, organised as part of the Biodiversity Machine program, which Omer - together with 17tons and in collaboration with the University of Palermo - launched to investigate the footprint we leave on biodiversity and to foster greater awareness of an issue as urgent as it is essential: environmental protection. ⏳ During the walk, which lasted around an hour and a half, we had the chance to share thoughts, listen, observe… and, above all, to understand just how deeply the natural environment is intertwined with the way we operate as a business.

Biodiversità e impresa: si comincia da qui. 🌱 Ieri, nella nostra azienda si è svolto il primo incontro del progetto Biodiversity Machine, realizzato da 17tons in collaborazione con l’Università degli studi di Palermo. Un momento dedicato ai nostri dipendenti per approfondire cos’è la biodiversità, perché è fondamentale per la vita dell’uomo e perché anche le aziende possono (e devono) contribuire a tutelarla. 🔍 Si è parlato di di servizi ecosistemici come aria, acqua e clima 💡 Riflettuto sul nostro impatto produttivo e su come renderlo più sostenibile 🤝 Compreso come ogni persona in azienda può diventare parte attiva di una visione più consapevole È stato il primo passo di un percorso fatto di osservazione, ascolto e responsabilità. Perché la transizione ecologica parte dalla conoscenza condivisa! ---- Biodiversity and Business: this is where it starts. 🌱 Yesterday, our company hosted the first meeting of the Biodiversity Machine project, developed by 17tons in collaboration with the University of Palermo. It was a moment dedicated to our employees, aimed at exploring what biodiversity is, why it is essential to human life, and how businesses can (and must) play a role in protecting it. 🔍 We discussed ecosystem services such as air, water, and climate 💡 Reflected on our production impact and how to make it more sustainable 🤝 Understood how every person in the company can actively contribute to a more conscious vision This was the first step in a journey rooted in observation, awareness, and responsibility. Because the ecological transition begins with shared knowledge!
