So extremely easy to make an appointment and I love that you don’t just get randomly assigned to a therapist. You take a quiz and they make a suggestion and if you’re not comfortable with that one, you can find another. It’s not as expensive as I thought it was going to be as you can get a student discount or use insurance. My only wish is that they had a ‘maintenance’ plan that was cheaper, not the same price for less appointments.

They should get negative stars. If I wanted chatGPT to be my therapist I could have gotten that for free. The "therapists" on here are all just reading from a script. If it isn't chatGPT it may as well be. I requested a therapist that has live office hours and was never matched with one so I can only assume they lie about actually having any that do that.

I have worked with a few different counselors in my life. Some were good and some were not. I put in what I was looking for in this company and they found the perfect therapist for me. My counselor is very communicative and attentive. He also understands and acknowledges my Christian beliefs. He is very helpful and knows exactly what to say in each situation. He helps me to make my own decisions about situations that I am in. He helps me to realize what are the right decisions, even though I may not always make them. He understands that it takes people sometimes a little while to get where they're trying to go. He's very encouraging also.

It provides 1-on-1 therapy services , as well as, the option to take up classes on relevant topics that will help you with a variety of issues, or equip you with everyday general mental health and well-being skills.

I find it useful being able to meet my therapist online for a talk instead of showing up in a on-site location. It makes it more accessible for me to undertake therapy without the travel time commitment.

I have had 2 payments I did not agree to debited of my account, £145 and then £135 all within one month. VERY UNPRODUCTIVE AND STRESSFUL when one of the issues I've need counselling for is managing the stress of unemployment and financial difficulties!!
The counsellor is lovely, but she does not deal with the billing so can't help! Better HELL more like it :(

BetterHelp offers virtual, personalized therapists and counselors to help you. Being virtual offers a much bigger pool of therapists who can match your beliefs, help preferences and goals. It also cuts down on commute time and sick time off since you don’t need to commute. They also take insurance which is super helpful! It’s a great service and platform that I highly recommend!

I wasn't quite sure what to expect as this has been my first time attending any sort of therapy. I was not disappointed as I was paired up with a fantastic therapist who really listens. Whenever I have reached out to customer support, my concerns were addressed immediately with nothing but kind responces.

Doing therapy with Better Help is so easy and has been very valuable to me. Gwendolyn has showed me how to handle some of the “hard stuff” in life and she also has made me understand why I am like I am and taught me ways to re-wire my thinking in more positive ways. It has been great for me!

I was actively misled into signing up for a more expensive service than I can afford being told that I would receive a discount, and then when I didn’t receive that discount, I was told there was nothing that they could do about it, and have been actively ignored since. I have emails to prove this. Stay away from this company. This is how they solve their problems. The whole reason I entered therapy in the first place was because my best friend of 12 years passed away unexpectedly, and this was the kind of service that I got from a company that provides therapy.

Do not recommend!! Taken 4 weeks payment up front without seeing if a therapist Iv been assigned to is even available during times I am.
So one week down already and £35 wasted as no sessions suitable, & gone to book a session this week with nothing available! This isn’t therapy it’s thieving me of my money and not being able to offer me a service causing me more stress than before! Clearly don’t take mental health seriously. I hope no one uses them that needs urgent help

I've asked for a refund but I'm not holding my breath.
Had a session booked but was canceled the same morning and given a later time. I waited for the reseculed time and nothing. Not very good when I felt like I really needed to talk to someone and they took my money. Please go to the gp for therapy not these con artists. My mental health is even worse now as I've lost money and still not spoke to anyone. I'm absolutely devastated they have done this. Writing a review as someone might be in a even worse place than myself and could happen to them.

The platform doesn’t allow for any phone contact. I had a billing issue and the only way to attempt to resolve it is thru email. The app billed me without me even consenting to begin therapy and although they did promise to reimburse me via email correspondence they never refunded me. Ongoing emails after one month and still not resolved

I love that i have connected to a therapist who understands and is supportive. Especially when I can be anywhere. She is amazing! I highly recommend using BetterHelp!

Well. I have a complicated life: I’m a lawyer who practices on an as-needed basis; I live on a ranch with 4 horses, 7 border collies, and 14 sheep (for the Borders, of course). My partner and I have been together for over 30 years. We both get cranky. I’m in recovery. I’ve always been sensitive. At my age, I am grateful to be able to speak with a practitioner again, so that I have an individual witnessing my issues, instead of me trying to figure everything out alone. Thank you. Give it a try, people, totally worth it.

I don’t understand why anyone would use this company. Why not choose your own therapist? That way you aren’t paying extra fees to this company and you get to pick a therapist who you is best suited to your needs. This company is making money, paying their therapists a pittance and charging clients extra for being the “middle man”
It doesn’t make any sense

To start, I thought my insurance was covering the services because BetterHelp gave me a $0 estimated out-of-pocket cost just to see my credit card being charged a few weeks later. Be prepared to spend $100-$200 per session if you haven't met your healthcare deductible. Very poor experience. My first therapy session was just a lecture about how I should live life and made all these assumptions about me when they didn't ask me any questions. My second session with a new therapist was okay, but then they didn't show up to the next session and never reponded to any of my messages. It's sad because I thought BetterHelp was supposed to help my mental health, not make it worse.

Betterhelp offers a service to everyone that can be difficult to obtain. Traveling to a nearby city can be challenging if not impossible

In addition, this service is relatively affordable for people who do not have access to private insurance. I was matched with a great therapist that understand my concerns and issues.

Another disgusting scummy site that says it's free then you spend 30 mins answering very personal questions only for them to end with "this is going to cost you £40 a week!!!!!! SCUM!!!! scamming vulnerable people with mental health problems!!!!!!

Got the needed Counseling. Very good service.
