In 2024 I paid Motocms to migrate 3 very simple sites to hostpapa. Only one of the sites was working and in a very strange location. But it worked. The other two were nested inside this domain. Very confusing. For the last year and half these websites have been down (!).Motocms doesn’t have a live chat like every other service out there so I had to submit yet another ticket. It's just very hard to speak to someone; the replies are always very defensive and not owning their mistakes. The reply I got was I should have updated the A record. Well I provided them with ALL the logins and the A record is actually updated. Bizarre. Just make things work. Really frustrating. Still no answer even called them on their phone. Says everybody is busy. Nightmare.

At first, MotoCMS felt like a complete scam. I bought their lifetime premium license and was left in the dark. My website went offline, and all attempts to get support were ignored.

Ron Coleman from support personally took charge. He didn’t just reply, he solved the problem. He tracked down an old backup through a separate email, logged into my MotoCMS Control Panel, extracted the files, imported the MySQL database, and connected everything on my new server. He even updated my site to the latest version, which protects it from future PHP compatibility issues.

He did all of this without access to my old hosting — something that normally costs $49, but he did it for free.

The site is now up and running again. No more downtime. No more stress.

MotoCMS failed me early on, but they more than made up for it. If support like this was the norm and not the exception, they'd have a solid reputation. I’m keeping this as a 1-star review for now, but if they keep this level of service consistent, I won’t hesitate to raise it to a well-earned 5 stars.

Final verdict: They dropped the ball, but picked it up and ran with it.

As a concurrent returning customer my experience with MotoCMS and their customer service has not waivered, it is still top notch service. My problem pertaining to an invalid activation key was dealt with professionally and i was able to activate the control panel with no issues.

Their templates and the ability to modify a template and easily create a new web site is simply awesome! Legions ahead of other companies and template offerings.
