I recently ordered a full blackout blind for my master bedroom, as we have a young child and complete darkness was the main reason for choosing this product.

The blinds themselves appear to be of good quality, but unfortunately the installation has been disappointing. The delivery and installation took almost four weeks, and once fitted I noticed visible patches of light coming through around the edges. This means the blind is not providing the complete blackout that was advertised and that I specifically paid for.

I contacted Hillarys service engineer to report the issue, but I was disappointed that no estimated timeframe could not be given for when the repair would be carried out. After already waiting several weeks for installation, this has been quite frustrating.

Given the premium price of these blinds, I expected a much higher standard of installation and quality control. If issues do arise, I would also expect a prompt repair service. While the blinds themselves seem well made, they are unfortunately not fit for their intended purpose in my case because they do not achieve a true blackout.

Overall, I’m disappointed with the experience and hope Hillarys improves both its installation standards and after-sales service.

Friendly and efficient

These are SCAMMERS asked for 1000 euro again after 4 months of closing deal. There is no communication in there team between customer service, finance department and sales team.
Curtains stuff is average and they are over charging.

Waited a month for the next available appointment in our area, 20 minutes before the guy was due to arrive he cancelled the appointment because it was “too far of a drive” he was 20 minutes from our house….

I had my blinds fitted back in 2025. I got the full house done. I also got the perfect fit blinds on back doors. Absolutely shocking. The rest of the blinds are grand. But the perfect fit are so not perfect. I took photos but can’t seem to upload them. Do not get them.

From start to finish the whole process was excellent. Our man Ger is a gentleman, friendly and very professional throughout. He is very knowledgeable and his recommendations were perfect for our home now that we have our blinds installed, we are so happy with them, they look amazing. Ger also left the place spotless and took away all the cardboard and packaging leaving no trace. Our order also arrived a week earlier than expected. I'd highly recommend Hillary Blinds and if you get Ger as your advisor it's an added bonus. Thanks Ger.

The woman was absolutely wonderful at handling my complaint

The Hillarys staff fitter Frank was absolutely lovely. I couldn’t give him higher praise.

I booked an appointment online with Hillarys Blinds and was looking forward to getting a quote. The following day, I received an email stating that my phone number must be incorrect. Strangely, the email itself quoted my correct mobile number. I replied to confirm the number was correct and even provided my husband’s mobile number as an alternative. There were no call attempts made to my phone, nor my husband’s phone.

I then received another email advising that they do not have any advisors available to cover my area and therefore could not arrange a home visit to measure up. This was extremely frustrating, especially considering their website repeatedly states that their “network of advisors covers the entire country”. Their base in Meath is also less than an hour from my address, yet apparently they cannot send someone out.

To advertise nationwide coverage and then refuse to service an area less than an hour away feels very misleading. The whole process was a complete waste of time and left a poor first impression.
