I subscribed to get my accounts filed quickly as I was late. They promised me English speaking accountant but that accountant left the job and they failed to allocate another English speaking accountant and it caused further delay in my accounts and I got detention to my banks.I requested cancellation of subscription they refused to cancel. Very bad customer service. Never accept their fault. Difficult communication. Very late replies. I never recommend. Better to get an accountant which you should be able to communicate by phone too. That is not possible with this company. They never accept their fault.

Very disappointing experience with Comptastar for the declaration of LMNP. First, I still need to do lots of work myself with their software; Second, they are never available if you are any questions, impossible to make a call in a few days (waiting time more than 1 month)Mostly, the steps to unsubscribe the services are very complicated and even when you unsubscribe they still continue to charge you...So you need to very careful about this company!

I hired this service specifically for support in English, which was never provided. Customer support was extremely slow, often taking days to respond to a single email, and the lack of transparency led to URSSAF fines, as I am a foreigner and had no guidance on the procedures I needed to follow.
On top of that, canceling the contract was a nightmare, with an abusive cancellation fee and an exhausting process.
Without question, this was the worst service I have used in France. I absolutely do not recommend this company.

Bad experience overall. Accountants are overloaded, take shortcuts which are costly. Don t expect a good service.

Low quality service. If you need anything from them expect to spend hours on the phone, send multiple emails without response.
The only thing reliable is the monthly fees they take from your account

The person in charge is available to answer questions and help you understand each step of the process , be it the Comptastar system or the government taxation system/ process / rules.
The Comptastar system itself is very efficient as it can be linked to the utilizes accounts of different companies and that of Airbnb - so basically uploading by the relevant expenses to be declared automatically

I can not express enough how bad this company is, do not even contact them, you will regret it!
Be very careful with this company. The salesperson promised services and support that were never delivered — and I have since discovered these promises were impossible to fulfil. They will say almost anything to get you to sign a contract.
When you try to leave or cancel, they impose high charges and fees. They are not personal accountants working for you — the only thing they did well was take money from my account to fill their own.
In my opinion, this is a contractual trap they refuse to release you from. Don’t be fooled by what they promise at the start — it does not reflect the reality of their service.
They have said in their response that they are always transparent.
This is my transparent situation.
The sales person on the phone promised the world, he said that everything would be done for me.
Nothing was done for me. It took 2 months before anyone replied to my emails for service, but they emailed me in seconds if a payment was not made.
They tried to charge me for a new months payment after 7 days because the sales person back dated the contract, I believe, so they could get the Christmas bonus.
When I finally had enough and told them I wanted to end all business with them they said that I would need to pay to get out of the contract, the sales person said that it was contract free, leave anytime.
To leave their service, you need to email them, send a recorded, tracked letter to an address, not in Paris (where they are based), and book an appointment to cancel, I had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment, 10 minutes before the meeting was due to take place, I received an email saying pay us, I phoned them as they did call me and they said they thought they would just email me. Why did I need to wait 3 weeks for a 4 line email.
He also said that the sales person did not confirm what he said in an email and their calls are not recorded so tuff luck pay us.

These are just empty words to make others thing that they actually deal with these issues!

Another day, another disappointing experience. After previously leaving a 1-star review, I unfortunately feel compelled to return and share yet another negative encounter.
As I mentioned before, I decided to close my company and end my service with Comptastar due to ongoing issues with support, communication, and overall service quality.
I was assured that everything was finalized and my account was closed. I have since relocated to another country. However, to my surprise, I recently received an email stating that I would be charged over 650 euros. This was both unexpected and extremely frustrating.
I am not only disappointed but also quite concerned. I have reached out multiple times via email and phone, but have yet to receive any response or resolution.
I strongly urge anyone considering their services to be cautious. I sincerely hope you do not encounter the same challenges and stress that I have faced, even months after ending my contract.

I completely share the very negative opinion of Sam and Vincent, who are very dissatisfied with the service provided by Comptastar!
We were very happy with Comptastar's accounting work for 2 years (in 2023 and 2024).
But then: a change in the general terms and conditions in summer 2024 added a three-month notice period for any termination, otherwise they demand 40% of the annual amount for the following year. A price increase of about 50% was announced in September-October 2024.
Seeing all this, after a discussion for negotiation that led nowhere, we requested termination in writing by email in December 2024. Yet, the annual amount for 2025 was still debited at the beginning of January.
We only learned at the end of January 2025 that a registered letter had to be sent to an obscure address in Bordeaux before the end of January 2025. Numerous follow-ups on our part to reopen the discussion with Comptastar brought us to May...
Comptastar's response: no refund will be made (they charged us for a full year of commitment) contrary to the T&Cs which only mention 40%. They won’t budge an inch...
So yes, they’ll tell you they’ll get back to you, that you need to write to such and such address, that they’ll be attentive to your situation... but is that really true? That’s for you to decide...
