Host HTML File FAQ

Clear answers for preview links.

Host HTML File publishes static, noindex preview pages. Free includes up to 3 projects and deleted projects still count, Pro 20, and Max 50. Same-URL updates require Pro or Max; remote JSON storage is available on Max.

How do I connect a Lanvo subdomain?

Open a project's detail page in your Dashboard, find the Lanvo subdomain section, enter a label using only letters, numbers, and hyphens (1–63 characters), and choose Connect subdomain. Your stable address will use the format your-label.lanvo.app. Free accounts can start one 24-hour trial when available; Pro and Max accounts can connect subdomains within their plan limits.

Can I publish HTML generated by Claude or ChatGPT without Git?

Yes. Host HTML File is designed for quick AI-generated HTML previews. You can paste HTML, upload an HTML file, or upload a ZIP website project, then share an online preview link without setting up Git, Vercel, Netlify, or a production hosting workflow.

Can I use the host-html-file to publish HTML from Codex, Claude, or Cursor?

Yes. Install the host-html-file with npx host-html-file install --agent all. Then ask your AI coding agent to publish an HTML file, ZIP, or static project directory. The skill runs the publisher, handles login when needed, uploads your static assets, and returns a shareable preview URL.

Can I share a PRD prototype or product spec preview?

Yes. If your PRD, product spec, or AI workflow produces a static HTML prototype, Host HTML File can host it as a review link for PMs, designers, engineers, clients, or stakeholders.

Can I share a single HTML file online?

Yes. You can publish a single HTML file and turn it into a hosted preview link. This is useful for AI-generated landing pages, UI mockups, client previews, and interactive prototypes that need to be opened in a browser.

Can I publish multiple files with CSS, JavaScript, and images?

Yes. Host HTML File supports static multi-file projects. Upload a folder or ZIP that includes HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PNG, JPG, GIF, SVG, fonts, and other static assets, and the preview keeps relative asset paths working.

What does noindex mean?

A noindex preview asks search engines not to include the page in search results. It is useful for design reviews, experiments, and client previews, but it is not a privacy boundary. Anyone with the link can still open the page.

What can free users do?

Free users can publish static HTML, upload an HTML file or ZIP package, connect the host-html-file, copy preview links, view projects, and publish up to 3 projects. Deleted projects still count toward that limit. Free does not include same-URL updates; Pro and Max do.

What can paid users do?

Paid users can choose Pro for up to 20 projects, or Max for up to 50 projects. Pro and Max support updating the same URL; Max also includes remote JSON storage for preview data.

Do resources support global accelerated access?

Yes. Published files are served through our CDN-backed delivery path, and static assets use long-lived cache headers so previews load quickly for visitors around the world.

Can a published preview save data?

Max-plan projects can store one JSON object or array, up to 64KB, with GET and PUT `/__hosthtmlfile/state`. Use it for demo state that should survive a refresh or another phone, not as a database. Republishing HTML keeps the JSON; deleting or expiring the project deletes it. Guest and non-Max projects cannot use it. Anyone with the preview link can read and write that project's JSON. Max projects on preview.hosthtmlfile.com can also share one user-level JSON blob at `/__hosthtmlfile/user-state` using the token in the hosthtmlfile-user-state meta tag. The system-hosted example below is available without publishing a personal project. api-demo.lanvo.app ↗
