Data Engineer
The Role

One of the foundational technical challenges at Hook is to create self-service data and ML pipelines for our customers which surface useful business outputs like churn and upsell prediction.
Responsibilities:
You will wear many hats in your engineering duties. Your day-to-day will include:
- Working in a team with technical and non-technical colleagues to design and build product features that add value to our customers
- Working across the product - and writing clean, well-tested code
- Own significant parts of our product architecture and propose and lead new improvements
- Reviewing other software engineers code and provide structured feedback
- Designing our engineering processes and patterns to be the best for our team
- Monitoring system performance and ensure everything is up and running
- Designing our data schemas to suit the needs across the business

Requirements
We're looking for an ambitious self-starter who wants to be part of an early-stage company full of amazing talent and with a global vision.
- Experience working on scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure
- Understanding the product/business requirements and building features within the data pipeline to deliver value to customers
- Experience working in taking data products through different development environments into Production
- Selecting and implementing appropriate data storage solutions based on use-case and cost-efficiency
- Understanding features required by machine learning models and ensuring data pipelines adapt to ML requirements
- Building appropriate data monitoring solutions that help detect and recover from data issues
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and convey ideas to diverse stakeholders
- The ability to pick up and use third party APIs and tools
- Experience working with Python and different databases and data platform tools
Desirable: A good understanding of cloud technologies

Full Stack Engineer

- Experience working on both frontend and backend development. We use React on the frontend side
- Experience working in taking products through different development environments into Production
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and convey ideas to diverse stakeholders
- The ability to pick up and use third party APIs and tools
- Experience working with Python on the backend with frameworks, such as Django, Flask or FastAPI
- Desirable: A good understanding of cloud technologies

Sales Development Representative

What you will do:
As a Sales Development Representative, your job will be to lay the foundation for the rest of the sales team by engaging with customers and prospects, helping them understand the benefits of Hook and progressing them in the sales process. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by generating high-quality leads, qualifying prospects, and setting up meetings for our sales team.
- Conduct outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling and emailing to generate new leads and opportunities.
- Continuously improve key sales metrics, such as response rates, engagement rates, and conversion rates.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets for lead generation and opportunity creation.
- Having in-depth conversations with prospective customers about their needs and communicating those needs to the rest of the team- you will be responsible for helping us stay customer-first.
- Represent Hook at industry events and conferences
- Sales training and development courses to develop you as a sales expert
- Keeping up to date on sales and customer success trends to increase your credibility in the industry e.g. subscribing to blogs/podcasts, reading books, researching case studies.

About the role:
As our Tech Talent Partner you'll play an integral role in one of Hook’s core priorities - Hiring, to help us scale our team & business!
You will help shape how we attract, assess, and hire top talent, helping us continue to build an inclusive and transparent hiring process & culture. You'll work closely with hiring managers and interviewers, sharing best practices in talent sourcing, to elevate our recruiting efforts. At Hook, we're committed to providing a great candidate experience that helps individuals grow in their careers. You'll also have the opportunity to support initiatives like process improvements, employer branding projects, and strategic partnerships, driving meaningful change across the organization to help set us up for success as we look to scale next year.
What you will be doing:
- Manage the full cycle of recruiting candidates from sourcing through to close with a focus on the tech roles in the business i.e. Software Engineers, Data Scientists and Technical Implementation Consultants
- Keep our hiring bar high and be a talent consultant to both candidates and hiring managers
- Meet with hiring managers regularly to understand priority roles, desired competencies, team culture, position profile, and other key success factors to help us scale
- Advise hiring managers on sourcing strategies based on market data
- Consistently measure and track all aspects of the recruiting funnel to effectively report these to the hiring teams
- Work with our existing team to build process and implement best practices to hire top talent into engineering and product roles

Requirements
- Experience in an in-house talent role with key experience hiring for tech teams
- Desirable: Hiring engineers with python, machine learning and data experience
- Experience working in start-ups/scale-ups in a high-growth, rapidly changing environment
