The line-ending backslash only works if there are no non-whitespace characters after it until the end of the line. Escaped whitespace counts as non-whitespace.

@iarna Would it be OK to have a single commit adding the tests from your repository, and to add a copyright line for you in the current license (instead of adding another license file to the repository)? |

This PR copies the tests from https://github.com/iarna/toml-spec-tests along with the commit history.
The expected objects for the valid tests is currently in YAML format used in their original repository rather than the JSON encoding expected for this repository.
