I guess you could leave the feature as no-op just to get perf results. |

The Miri subtree was changed cc @rust-lang/miri These commits modify the If this was unintentional then you should revert the changes before this PR is merged. Some changes occurred in src/tools/clippy cc @rust-lang/clippy |

@mati865 maybe fixed, somehow there is no errno constants used by tcmalloc when building with lto |

builds locally with I hope it will run on ci. This job uses centos7. It ships needed headers, but somehow they are not found :) |

Finished benchmarking commit (ab402aa): comparison URL. Overall result: ❌ regressions - please read the text belowBenchmarking this pull request means it may be perf-sensitive – we'll automatically label it not fit for rolling up. You can override this, but we strongly advise not to, due to possible changes in compiler perf. Next Steps: If you can justify the regressions found in this try perf run, please do so in sufficient writing along with @bors rollup=never Instruction countOur most reliable metric. Used to determine the overall result above. However, even this metric can be noisy.
Max RSS (memory usage)Results (primary 13.9%, secondary 15.6%)A less reliable metric. May be of interest, but not used to determine the overall result above.
CyclesResults (primary 0.2%, secondary 0.1%)A less reliable metric. May be of interest, but not used to determine the overall result above.
Binary sizeThis benchmark run did not return any relevant results for this metric. Bootstrap: 470.924s -> 470.995s (0.02%) |
|
Impressive wall time results but occupied by higher max RSS. |
|
Pretty similar to what we saw with mimalloc, I think. |
|
IIRC mimalloc allocated even more memory, but yeah the tendency is the same. |

@0xdeafbeef tomorrow I'm making a PR for yet another allocator - shouldn't make max RTT go up at all (maybe down?) |
I've compared with compiler built from master.
Interestingly, i've got millions of errors from gwp-asan like
until i've patched operator delete to use regular delete. All errors came from llvm
If it's interesting i can clean this all up, or mb we should run rust-perf test-suite before.
