myself Peter Thomas (@ptrthomas) and Kirk Slota (@kirksl) are happy to submit Karate to this list, as the developer of the Java server-side I would claim that this is one of the cleanest Java (Netty based) implementations out there, and could be a good reference. here is the source code: karate/karate-core/src/main/java/com/intuit/karate/debug

we actually support "step-back" and hot-reload of code and are extremely thrilled with what VS Code and the DAP gives us !
