    This would be nice to have all the thumbnailes unified with xapp-thumbnailers, although you can use ffmpegthumbnailer to have a thumbnailer for m4a audio files, you can create the file: ~/.local/share/thumbnailers/m4a-thumbnailer.thumbnailer with the following content:

    [Thumbnailer Entry]
    TryExec=ffmpegthumbnailer
    Exec=ffmpegthumbnailer -i %i -o %o -s %s -f
    MimeType=audio/mp4

    Yes, this would work. Currently I am using https://github.com/dirkvdb/ffmpegthumbnailer/blob/master/dist/ffmpegthumbnailer-audio.thumbnailer copied to /usr/share/thumbnailers because it's not in the current release of the ffmpegthumbnailer package of Mint. In older Mint version thumbnailing m4a files used to work out of the box (maybe using the xplayer-thumbnailer package?, could not figure out). That's leads me to a more general question: What's the intention of xapp-thumbnailers? Which formats should be included and which are left for other thumbnailer packages?
