# Context kagent tools `0.3.0` released. We simply just need to bump the pin of the Helm chart. There are no release notes for [`0.3.0`](https://github.com/kagent-dev/tools/releases/tag/v0.3.0), but an overview of changes are as follows: **Server** - Migrated from `mark3labs/mcp-go` to `modelcontextprotocol/go-sdk:v1.8.0`. Tools now advertise an output schema and return `structuredContent` alongside text. Input schemas were relaxed to keep the 0.2.1 calling contract. - Fixed a heap leak: MCP session state is now released on DELETE and idle sessions are reaped after 30m (--session-idle-ttl, 0 disables). - New tools: `k8s_wait`, `mcp_inspect`. - Removed tools: `kubescape_get_sbom`, `kubescape_list_sboms` (already disabled in 0.2.1). - `k8s_patch_resource` gained an optional `patch_type` (`strategic`|`merge`|`json`) so CRDs can be patched. - Boolean and numeric tool parameters are now typed (previously strings parsed as "true"/"false"). LLM clients adapt; direct callers sending string values will receive a validation error, requiring booleans instead. **Helm chart** (all opt-in) - New `global.imageRegistry`, `global.imagePullSecrets`, `global.imagePullPolicy`, `global.watchNamespaces` for air-gapped and namespace-scoped installs. - `tools.prometheus.*` and `tools.grafana.*` values are now passed to the container as env vars. **Dependencies / image** - CVE fixes: `grpc`, `otel`, `x/net`, `cilium`, `docker/cli`, `go-jose`, `jsonparser`. - Bundled CLIs: `kubectl 1.37.0`, `helm 4.3.0`, `istioctl 1.31.1`, `cilium 0.20.0`, `argo-rollouts 1.10.0`. ## Validation - `TestE2EInvokeInlineAgent` + `TestE2EInvokeDeclarativeAgentWithMcpServerTool` (as part of the e2e job), which should validate it _at least_ runs as expected.
