I want to warn others about shopping on Makeup.
I experienced what appears to be a serious order processing issue.
While placing a single order, the system created a duplicate of the same order and charged me twice within one minute. According to my bank statements, the charges were made at 02:31 and 02:32.
Instead of investigating what had happened, customer support insisted that I had placed the second order myself. According to their explanation, within one minute I supposedly searched for five different products from different brands and categories, added them to my cart again, completed checkout, and paid for the order. This explanation simply does not make sense.
The situation became even more concerning when I was charged a third time from my foreign bank card, which had been saved as the default payment method in my account.
I contacted customer support immediately by phone and in writing. Initially, they confirmed that one of the duplicate orders had been cancelled and that a refund would be issued. Later, however, they changed their position and started referring me to the standard product return procedure instead of addressing the duplicate charges and the apparent system error.
I understand that technical failures can happen in any company. I have experienced similar issues before—once with a hotel in France and once with an airline in Norway. In both cases, the companies investigated the problem, corrected it promptly, and treated the customer fairly.
Unfortunately, that has not been my experience here.
If you have a payment card saved in your Makeup account, I recommend removing it until this issue is resolved. Based on my experience, multiple charges can occur, and resolving the situation may be difficult.

I've been wanting this fragrance for a while! I kept seeing that there was only 1 left. I finally bought it, without even knowing anything about it, other than it's a great addition to my very large Gritti collection. The fragrance is BEAUTIFUL!! Shipping was prompt, the price was great and the customer service is awesome!

Ich bin vom Kundenservice von MAKEUP sehr enttäuscht.
Meine Bestellung wurde im Voraus bezahlt, aber ich habe sie nie erhalten. Ich habe mich sofort an die Österreichische Post und an MAKEUP gewandt und alle erforderlichen Informationen bereitgestellt. Trotzdem weigerte sich MAKEUP, den Kaufpreis zu erstatten oder die Ware erneut zu versenden, und verwies lediglich auf den Zustellvermerk der Post.
Als Kundin hätte ich mehr Unterstützung und Interesse an der Lösung des Problems erwartet. Ich werde dort nicht mehr bestellen, kann diesen Shop nicht empfehlen und werde meine Rechte auf rechtlichem Weg geltend machen.

Items were allegedly "delivered" to my local carrier, then was "out for delivery" but suddenly "held at post office by customer request" which I never made and then items "returned to sender" and then "received by sender" but no refund. No email informing me of this (after I got 4 emails when I made purchase) and website shows no history of my purchases and no order at all for confirmation number they gave me. I get lots of deliveries no problem, so this is definitley fraud here. It's one of those too-good-to-be-true outfits with massive impressive selection but fishy, non-transparent, confusing and ultimately unsuccessful shipping/delivery. I've even gotten Avon I ordered from Poland delivered without a problem. This business is total BS.

I've ordered several times from makeupstore.com and never had a problem. I've received my order quickly and well packed. When the current administration added tariffs, the website did not allow me to order. That is no longer the case. Prices are great- so low I was suspicious, but no worries. No scam to get bank or credit information. I think I paid using Paypal with their protections, but not needed anyhow. Great resource for products from all over the world. I enjoy ordering and looking through their huge selection.

Købt et produkt som efter første gangs brug gik i stykker.

Jeg har 2 års reklamationsret, men firmaet påstod at det er et problem at jeg først rapporter det tre mdr senere og de påstod at jeg derfor måtte have brugt produktet i alt den tid og selv ødelagt det og derfor vil de ikke tilbyde at erstatte produktet. Jeg gjorde det klart at jeg først lige havde taget det i brug, og det gik i stykker straks.

De ville så tilbyde et gavekort på 60 kroner til at bruge på hjemmesiden, hvilket er under halvdelen af den oprindelige pris. Tænk engang at være så desperat, at de vil miste en forbruger pga. 128 kr.

Grundet manglende kundeservice anbefaler jeg derfor at man køber sine produkter ved et mere professionelt firma, et firma som ikke er afhængige af at snyde deres kunder for småkroner.

Problem is the website as of 5/2026. It doesn't register my address and customer profile also does not remember me as a customer when I last purchased in 2025. Can't place an order now. Honestly needs a better website designer. More like the poorly made . no websites from 2016.

I was a little hesitant to order from this site after looking at the other reviews.
However I couldn't find the specific Shampoo I was looking for from anywhere else at a reasonable price so I decided to take the risk.
I am glad I did as the order arrived quickly & as described.
They were really well packaged to protect them & the lids were even taped closed to prevent any chance of a leakage.

I placed 2 orders on their site (March 18th and March 29th). Up to this day, none of the orders have been delivered. I contacted several times their customer support and I didn’t get an answer to every email. And when they did answer, it is only to ask for patience. No local tracking number is provided and no reorder/refund solution is offered. That’s a shame for a website said “legit”.

I had a few mostly positive experiences until now, when I placed a big order and it was not delivered. The shipping company did not receive the parcel, and makeupstore.com is refusing to provide the proof of postage.
I will report fraud to the bank and hope everyone does the same.

Such a bad website
I placed an order and they shipped it after approximately 5 days and they gave me a tracking code TMUIL0220803988130 they told me it's will be delivered on 28-April
But the tracking code is stuck since 14 days in transit and still not delivered or even new update happened.... I contacted the shipping company they said they don't have the order then i contacted the website they said on 26 April this message "Shipment is scheduled within the next 10 days". Like what i can do??! I applied for refund and they don't reply at all ...Such a bad service

I ordered a spray product for my hair and it was never delivered. I received a notification saying that it was delivered, however, they could not provide any pictures of the delivered item, not even the carrier who delivered it. Customer service is useless. I guess I have to complain to consumer affairs. These people are plainly stealing money.

I am Ramy Ismail . Have received my first perfumes order from them today. I can say that they are The worst perfumes company i have ever dealt with. Plus that i still have doubts about the authenticity of thier perfumes but i will open it and wear it and write another review very soon. But in general as an online perfumes company it is really the worst ever and not recommend it at all.

I had a very disappointing experience with this store.

I placed an order on April 6 with a promised delivery time of 6–7 business days. However, more than two weeks later, my order has still not been delivered.

The tracking status shows that the shipment has not even been handed over to the courier, despite customer support repeatedly claiming that it has already been dispatched. This is misleading and unacceptable.

I also contacted the delivery company directly, and they confirmed that they have not received the parcel at all.

This is not the first time I have experienced such delays with this store, which clearly indicates ongoing issues with their service and order processing.

Instead of resolving the problem, customer support keeps sending generic responses and asking for more patience, without providing any real solution.

I cannot recommend this store. Very poor service, long delays, and lack of transparency.

Bought 3 perfumes. All 3 original and I received them in perfect shape and well packaged. Shipping took a bit longer than anticipated and the status on the shipping company was stuck for few days (while still moving, just not updating). Ordered on 31st, received them on 11th. Not bad since they travelled from PL to USA (all the way to the west coast).

Customer support super responsive, friendly and professional, luckily had no problems with the items so I cannot speak how the interaction would had been in that case.

I love the products I ordered and I verified authenticity (QR code).

I chose to buy from them because they had one fragrance that I couldn't find anywhere else ...

They sent me an open box with an already used product. Will be contesting the charge with my credit card company.

I received the shampoo with a damaged dispenser, which was a bit disappointing at first. However, the customer service team handled the situation quickly and professionally, and the issue was resolved without any problems. I really appreciate their support and responsiveness. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the service and would order again.

I made a purchase on Makeup store website over 3 weeks ago, and the package still hasn’t arrived, even though they stated delivery would take 6–9 business days.

There is no way to contact customer service. The phone number doesn’t work, and neither does the chat window. I sent a message through the website, and no one has responded.

Is this a scam?
