Etchv watermarking API docs. Add an invisible watermark to images and videos, or watermark PDFs, then detect it to match each copy to your records.

How it works
- Embed: send a file and a JSON reference, such as your delivery ID.
- Keep: save the returned watermark ID with your original record.
- Detect: send a copy you found. Etchv reads its watermark, and you look up the watermark ID in your records.
Your watermark ID is a SHA-256 digest of your JSON. A digest is a fixed-length fingerprint of the data. Etchv hides the watermark in images and video frames. A PDF page carries a short token that points to the file's unique forensic watermark ID. Detection recovers the watermark, not your original record.
Editing or recompressing a file can affect recovery, so test your workflow. A match identifies a copy, not who shared it.
