Notice about the page “Kane Pixels”
[edit]There is already a draft page for Kane Pixels at draft:Kane Pixels has been a work in progress for a while now. When the mainspace page was still a redirect, it had a notice to not directly create an article from it unless moving draft:Kane Pixels to mainspace. I see you have added stuff that I didn’t to your article, so maybe we can merge Kane Pixels to the corresponding draft. (Discuss 0nshore's contributions!!!) 16:30, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
Backrooms (web series) title.
[edit]Hello, I am the creator of the article. The reason why I titled the article “Backrooms” is based on the opening credits for the first video(Which is also in the article’s info box). Yes I realize that the first video is titled “The Backrooms(Found footage” and the playlist is titled “The Backrooms”. However I am going based on the opening title card of the first video and the fact that the other videos in the series only have “Backrooms” in their titles. Example: “Backrooms-The Third Test”, “Backrooms-Informational Video”, “Backrooms-Pitfalls”, “Backrooms-Damage Control” etc… I will admit that Kane makes the naming of his series difficult when he doesn’t stick with one title. To be fair, he probably wasn’t expecting an article to be made about his series. However based on the examples I mentioned earlier, I must insist that the article’s title remains as it is. Links to draft articles
[edit]Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Ling Nam. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 14:33, 25 June 2024 (UTC)

Cody Ko
[edit]I wanted to reach out after I continue to see you delete vital information about current topics going on. You continue to say that there’s not enough adequate information even though there’s many notable articles about the situation at hand. It is our job to serve the people with facts. Please allow the topic of Tana and Cody to be on the wikipedia page. WestonH233 (talk) 03:57, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
- @WestonH233: Please be aware that I support Tana and I believe the findings of D'Angelo Wallace, of whom I am a fan. I'm not in any way trying to censor this information, and I believe that it should be included on the page.
- If you want to know why I am deleting these additions, please see my reply on Talk:Cody Ko to another editor.
- " I am reverting the additions because this talk page discussion has not yet ended. Talk page discussions must run their course for a consensus to emerge on 1) if it should be included and 2) what to write in the page. This is how decisions on Wikipedia work."
- The talk page discussion has not yet ended. A paragraph is still being drafted. There are still some people in cautious opposition. Therefore, there's still no consensus, i.e. no decision has yet been come to. We can only add it in after the participants have come to a consensus.
- Feel free to reply if you have any questions or concerns, — VORTEX3427 (Talk!) 05:16, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks I appreciate the response. I wanna make sure that when pages are being updated they are being done in a timely manner to insure accuracy. I appreciate the thoroughness in which you are going through to make sure everything is accurate. WestonH233 (talk) 06:52, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
- Also, be wary of synthesis, where you go beyond information presented in reliable sources, especially when it comes to allegations around crimes. —C.Fred (talk) 11:05, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- @C.Fred: I am very sorry. I didn't mean to violate policy and I'll be more careful in the future — VORTEX3427 (Talk!) 11:10, 8 August 2024 (UTC)

DYK for Ling Nam
[edit]On 12 August 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Ling Nam, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Tomas Fung founded the predecessor of the restaurant Ling Nam with only 3,000 Philippine pesos? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Ling Nam. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Ling Nam), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

DCWC closing update
[edit]The 2024 Developing Countries WikiContest has come to a close! After a thrilling finish to the event with a slew of submissions on the final day, we have our winners. With 608 points, Thebiguglyalien (submissions) comes in third with his series of Kiribati and Botswanan submissions; BeanieFan11 (submissions) flies into second place at the last second with 771 points after a string of good articles about sportspersons; and after leading for much of contest's three months, Generalissima (submissions) finishes with a whopping 798 points to take home the Gold Belt Buckle. Congratulations to our winners!
In addition to his spot in the top three, BeanieFan11 (submissions) also wins the special awards for submitting under the most countries (44 countries) and for writing the most articles about women (15 Did you know? nominations)! Magentic Manifestations (submissions), after making 16 submissions under the Indian flag—15 of them good articles—receives the awards for most submissions for a single country and most featured or good articles promoted. For their submission of one FAC review, five FLC reviews, and 20 GAN reviews, Simongraham (submissions) wins for most article reviews.
The results of the contest have far exceeded any expectations the coordinators had for it at the beginning: among the submissions to the event were 3 FAs, 10 FLs, 88 GAs, dozens of article reviews of every kind, and more Did you know? submissions than we can count! Regardless of your level of participation, every contestant can be proud to have contributed towards a major step in countering the systemic bias on Wikipedia. Every year, millions of readers and editors around the globe use Wikipedia to educate themselves and communicate with others about parts of the world that often receive less attention than they deserve. Thank you for participating with us in the contest and contributing to this effort. The DCWC will return next year and we look forward to seeing you contribute again! However, before that...
We need your feedback! Join the conversation on the talk page to discuss your reflections on the contest (even if you didn't participate!) and help us make it better.
