My name is John McGrath, and I live in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA. I have been on Wikipedia since October 2, 2005 (that's 19 years, 2 months and 1 day). At first, I was intrigued (anyone can edit?), but then I grew skeptical of the reliability and objectivity of Wikipedia. I stayed away for about 2½ years, but it became harder and harder to ignore. I found myself consulting it regularly, and wanting to fix the errors I found. I came to realize that Wikipedia is an excellent aggregator and that the content is also reliable and objective enough to be very useful.
Lately, I have been reading mostly about U. S. History and the U. S. Supreme Court, so much of my editing has been in those areas. If you are interested, here is what I have been reading recently.
