Merger
[edit]This page has a lot of crossover with Nursery Rhymes and I have suggested merger with that article.--Sabrebd (talk) 01:47, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
This was resolved by taking the nursery rhyme material to there and placing summaries here.--Sabrebd (talk) 17:55, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
Merger proposal
[edit]I propose that Playground song be merged into Children's song. There is obviously a good deal of overlap, the playground-song article is poorly sourced and by comparison poorly written, and the "Children’s playground and street songs" section in this article could easily be expanded a bit to accommodate whatever is sourceable and appropriate. (It's also odd that neither article links in any obvious way to the other; perhaps we have a case of parallel article development by editors unaware of one another's actions.) - I agree there is a lot of overlap. My main issue with merger is that most of the Playground song article is largely unsourced and so I am not sure what of value would come into this largely sourced article.--SabreBD (talk) 20:18, 30 April 2014 (UTC)
- I believe that Nursery rhymes and playground songs would both merge into the umbrella of Children's songs, but I don't see the validity of merging the articles. --Ushtriapopullore (talk) 23:53, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
- There does seem to be a large overlap on Children's song's between the pages, so I've merged that content (where material is referenced). Klbrain (talk) 17:06, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
